Love this hotel! Staff is so friendly and helpful. I arrived at the hotel injured from a motorcycle accident that occurred on my way from NY to Colorado. The whole staff is so caring and kind. My room is lovely and comfortable. I am temporarily stranded due to the accident but so glad I chose this hotel to recuperate at.

Room and bathroom were clean. Everything worked inclueding the iron. Stores and food places very close. Attended a wedding at the very nice venue right next door, can't remember the name, sorry. Nice view of the lake, balcony over hangs the water pretty cool. AC worked great, I had a very comfortable stay very convenient for the wedding I attended.

It had been 34 years since my last visit and I was so very happy to see this hotel is still here. They did not disappoint. We had a lovely lake view with chairs on the balcony. The air-conditioning worked great! There is plenty of places to eat plus it's just a short drive to the Indiana Dunes National Park. The sunsets there are pretty and on a clear day you can see the Chicago skyline across Lake Michigan.

The view was amazing and such a wonderful surprise! We opened the curtains in the morning to find deck, with lawnchairs, overhanging a beautiful lake. We were able to sit outside and enjoy egrets, swallows, turtles, geese, terns, a cormorant and other great sightings at all times of day and evening. Because the motel overhangs the lake, you can't get any closer to this wildlife! Highly recommend. We would come back just for this experience.

The sheets were clean, the comforter had a obvious blood stain on it, not enough washcloths, smoke on bathroom ceiling,mirror by entry door was not completely mounted, base of the beds were dirty and no staff available, not even by phone.
