Bring back your breakfast already...sheesh
The rooms are comfortable and clean. I was surprised how quiet it was given it's right off the main highway. The one thing that is starting to bug me about smaller hotels these days is that they are still using the excuse of COVID to avoid offering services. This hotel is still not offering their breakfast service due to COVID. Right now in Oregon there are no restrictions due to COVID. It is obvious that some hotels will continue to offer limited service under the cover of COVID even though it no longer affects the service. I understand, as a hotel owner, it's been nice to cut that cost and hassle for so long without much complaints. I just want someone at this property to know, guests know that you are taking advantage of COVID at this point to avoid paying for the extra service. I'm guessing this won't change until enough people either complain about it or move on the other hotels who have gotten things back to normal. Come on, we know it's a cash grab at this point, you are not filling anyone with your "because of COVID" sign.

Won’t stay here again but OK if you’re desperate
If you’re a smoking truck driver looking for a place to rest, a hard bed and strangely hard pillow, maybe you won’t mind it. It reeked like cigarettes. The photos showed a kitchen so I thought there was breakfast but there was NOT. The front desk staff is awesome and friendly. I would definitely not stay here again, but we didn’t die or get bed bugs (mattress looked pretty new actually!)

The room was clean and spacious. We had trouble with our room key not working properly, but got that sorted out. The motel was close to dining and any other services.

$300 deposit
Ended up cancelling. Upon check-in, I was asked to provide a card for a $300 incidental deposit! $300! This is a 2 star style inn. I don’t think they have amenities like a mini bar. We’ve stayed at 5 stars that don’t charge a $300 incidental. If you’re on a road trip, they might refund your $300, but your bank might take 2 weeks to get it to you, that’s spending/gas money on the road. That is a ridiculous ask, could I afford it? Yeah, but we cancelled on principle. Also, post that on Hotels.com if you have a ridiculous check in charge like that, wouldn’t have booked in the first place.
