Better stay low.
Everything aboutthe room itself was great. The only drawback was that our room was on the second and top floor and the hotel did not have an elevator. Quite some effort to haul our suitcases up the stairs.

Great hotel location near Neuschwanstein Castle and historic Fussen. The room was good and comfortable with balcony facing the castles. Mark was a great host doing everything from check in, service, breakfast, and always friendly. Breakfast was good with variety, free parking, and good wifi. There is no elevator so avoid large suitcase. I would highly recommend this place.

From our balcony we could see Neuschwannstein! Staff very helpful and friendly. Plentiful breakfast choice. Kettle available on the landing. Spacious room, well-equipped, plenty of power points. Easy to park at hotel. Great location for nearby castles and lakes. Hotel restaurant closed subsequent to our booking - had planned on eating there. Bed a bit hard for my bad back.

Absolutely wonderful!
Absolutely wonderful hotel. The place is so clean and well maintained it looks like a postcard. Staff super friendly and did everything possible to make our stay perfect. We rented the bikes and when we got a flat tire they were there in 5 minutes with a new bike. We have stayed in a lot of hotels and hotel Waldmann is one of the very best. Staff speaks excellent English as well. Wished we could have stayed longer.

Convenient location just minutes to both Hohenschwangau and Neuschwanstein Castles (and only an hour drive through beautiful country side to Linderhof Castle). Very clean, functional rooms and friendly staff. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Great location and quiet with helpful staff. Amenities are very basic with communal jug, plastic mugs etc. and worn out towels. Ok if you just want a place to sleep

Our 3 night stay was great. Located about 2km from the castles access was easy. The staff was friendly and spoke great English. We ate dinner each night in the restaurant and enjoyed the locals and seasonal choices (spargel soup is excellent!). OH, and our room was great with a balcony view of both the castles (room for 4).
