Everything was fine until dinner in the courtyard when mice were scurrying all over the place.

Generally good, rooms are pretty spacious, the gym and wellness area is fantastic. The front desk reception staff are not friendly, and sometimes just chatting away at the back and leaving the desk unmanned - the guy that checked us in was very rude. We liked the general vibe of the hotel. One really annoying thing is that the corridor on each floor is tiny, and on the day we checked out, housekeeping staff were shouting and being very loud and obnoxious, and bashing things around with all the rest of the room doors open from 7am til 12pm when we checked out. We were woken up by them at 7am on holiday and the noise didn't cease. The corridor was also filled with equipment and we could barely get to the lift when we did check out. Annoying since the room is very well insulated from heat and noise from the street.

Beautifully designed guest room but we found the double glass doors that open to bathroom awkward, a waste of space and inconvenient and offered no privacy for one to shower and access sink post shower. Also, no simple hooks available in the bathroom for towels to hang to dry. Though the room is intended for two people, only one robe was available. The marble bathroom and shower floors though elegant were very slippery and dangerous when wet. Nothing was available that would offer protection from slipping in the shower room or the sink are which often became wet after someone showered. There was no place to hang a towel to reach after shower. The handsome large magnifying mirror that hangs on the wall to the left of the sink was inaccessible due to the layout of the sink and wall next to the shower. The phone the room didn’t work. The room includes many special effect high tech lighting features. But there was no possible way to have light on just in the dressing area that was separated from the bed by a wall. So one had to have all the lights on in the to have any light in the dressing area. Hard not to disturb a sleeping or resting partner without turning on all lights to dress or undress in the dressing area. In short, artistic design that is fun and interesting but one pays a lot to enjoy without expected safe and simple functional features. The designer should have spent a night in the room. All hat no cattle as we say inTexas. Loved the closet-dressing area.
