Staff were friendly and very helpful. Cleaning crew was fast and fairly efficient. Bathrooms desperately need an upgrade as black mold surrounded the sink drain, the water was barely warm, and the hose for hand-held shower in the tub/shower was short, making it difficult to rinse the entire body.
The room had every convenience necessary: beds, nightstand, desk, luggage rack with drawers, wardrobe (although it needed more than the 2 hangers provided), mini fridge, tea kettle and makings for tea or coffee, 2 bottles of water per day, or more upon request, TV and A/C. The porch overlooking the pool was a plus! A great old hotel with a lot of history, and a good restaurant with many choices of a cooked breakfast included. I spent a week there, and aside from the obviously needed renovations, it was an excellent choice for my purposes. It's currently owned by the government, so I wouldn't expect renovations any time soon! EXCELLENT location in center Denpasar.
