    The property was beautiful and the rooms were clean but the staff did b not handle issues we requested twice. Our phone message light blinker red the entire stay they said it was most likely a prior customer and would clear it but didn’t after 2 requests were covered it with a towel. We had 2 bottles of water in our room approximately 6oz. There was no vending machine on site and we were told we could walk several blocks down the hill to get drinks and snacks from an Exxon. Our bathroom sink was very slow draining and our request to have that cleared was never addressed. Small things but for what we paid... very disappointing.

    Modern hotel in an historic wrapper—contemporary comforts and interior design that maintains its early 20th century charm. My room had spacious new walk-in shower, sink and vanity. The staff were courteous and helpful. Bear in mind the restaurant is closed on Monday and Tuesday, but area has plenty of good dining choices.

    This property was described as "luxurious ". It absolutely was NOT. The only thing in the room was a bed which was hard and uncomfortable, a small desk and chair. The tv was on the wall and was so small you could not see it from the bed. There was nothing decorating the walls and just looked bare. We were on the 5th floor and was awakened by garbage trucks at 7am. I booked this because it was described as a luxury property for our anniversary, we were very disappointed.

    Nope. Won’t stay there again.

    No way Jose! The Gin is certainly not up to par with the past glories of the Robert E. Lee hotel. We booked an upper floor room hoping for a view. We got a room right by the elevator and the ice machine, which made for a very noisy night. The room was incredibly basic and didn’t seem all that sanitized. A chair, a small table, a small TV, and a bed. No power outlets on either night stand or by the bed. No tea with the coffee maker. The carpet in the room was lifted and wrinkled (needs to be changed). The grab and go breakfast was a joke (no tea, no freshly brewed coffee, see sign that says “Coffee maker in room). We ended up on the 4th floor but with no view. The flush button didn’t work quite right and water kept running in the toilet. The thermostat inside the room didn’t work so even when we set the temp at 78, it felt really cold and I had to sleep with my pants and socks on... Do yourself a favor and go stay anywhere else in Lexington. We were very disappointed and won’t be back.

    The staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a beautiful old hotel in a great location - with free parking. Cons: bathroom sink clogged badly, water not really hot, stains on upholstered chair. And the walls are rather thin and our neighbors were noisy. For the money I would not stay here again.

    When we checked in the staff was great. When we checked out, there were two young ladies at the desk. I informed them that there was broken slivers of glass in the floor that they might want to let housekeeping know about. It was there when we checked in. They made no comment. We parked in the back and I asked if there was an exit at the back and they replied yes. No comment of where it was located. Absolutely no customer service skills at all. The room was nice, but the shower had no curtain and water went out in the floor which is a safety hazard. It was in a good location, we could walk to restaurants.
