Next to the Mosel, lovely spot
Excellent value, good food and friendly, helpful staff, what’s not to like.
Having read some of the negative reviews, I was expecting the possibility of a cheap and nasty dive. Nothing could be further from the truth in our experience!
We’d go back tomorrow if we could!

Couldn't wait to leave
Dust everywhere in the room, dingy carpets everywhere, no internet (despite the advertisement).
Most guests were retired.
Great water pressure in the shower.

Charming and enjoyable
Enjoyed our night stay. Staff spoke only a little English and I spoke less German. However staff was patient in trying to help me order food from their menu and also seemed happy to practice their English and teach me German... would recommend the property. Nothing fancy but comfortable and full of character. The house Riesling was delicious..

Hotel at Mosel River
Lovely and quiet position at Mosel, Hotel a bit old fashioned but comfortable, large rooms, no hair dryers provided, breakfast buffet with a lot of variety. Everyday a big bottle of sparkling water in the room - nice touch. The staff is extremely nice and accommodating, very helpful with my gluten free bread requests. Overall very good experience

We stayed well out of season, when many of the local amenities were closed. However, our room was comfortable, the breakfast selection was excellent, the staff were very helpful, and we would most certainly consider staying again if in the area.

Good price/quality ratio for the area. Room was big enough, clean and quiet. Breakfast was fine and staff kind and helpful. It needs to improve the the wifi (slow and interrupted every few minutes)

Simple Hotel, good views, warm welcome
Exactly as we expected. Welcome was good even
gave visitors free bus passes. Restaurant was good but menu limited. Breakfast was generous.
The only minor issue was the minute shower, 60cm square.

Excellent in Ellenz
This hotel is a short ride from Cochem, but well worth the ride. It's in a nice little town away from Cochem in a nice quiet and relaxing location. You can stroll along the Mosel and then head back for some great food and hospitality.
