It's a gorgeous place. The service sucked. No soap for showers. No coffee for machine in room. No cups. No carafe for water, no glasses. Jacuzzi drained. View from room was spectacular. We slept well.

Family members stayed at the Real La Merced for a number of days before going on to a wedding. The hotel is beautiful, very nice large rooms and modern bathrooms. Pool area great. A cafe right in the hotel for easy meals and drinks. Good location for outings. The staff were wonderful, very accommodating.

Overall, our experience was positive, but there were definitely some negative aspects to our stay. The location is great. The staff was helpful, friendly, and spoke English well; they were able to book us a transfer to Ometepe and answer any questions we had. The common areas of the property are beautiful and the building is pretty well kept. Breakfast is provided for free, but it was underwhelming so we ended up eating a few bites and then going elsewhere. Unfortunately, while we were staying, they were renovating the room next to ours, starting at 7:00 am without any warning or asking us if we would be awake at that time (we didn’t want to be). Our bathroom was also in relative disrepair. The WiFi reception was spotty in our room but good in the property generally. The hotel was beautiful. The location was ce tral but just far enough away from the central park to be a bit quieter. It was very clean. The attached restaurant had really good food. We lunched there twice. Check it out. It is more than a coffee shop

What a beautiful hotel this is. The location is absolutely perfect, it's only 5 minutes walk away from the cathedral of grenada and across the street from the le Merced church. There is a convenience store a minute away to buy water and snacks. The staff speaks very good english and very helpful with tour information and local info. Room itself was stunning, we felt like we were in the olden historical era. I would highly recommended this place. What a gem.

Excellent! The only thing I didn’t like was that we had to park in the street.

Nice location but load street next to rooms. Room had a bad smell due to AC drains on the bathroom shower. Only one bottle of water. Pillow to soft. Couldn’t sleep do to noise from street and church in front of hotel. No security to watch car or secure parking. Restaurant with limited food. Pool needs attention. Tiles coming off and pool water cold as an Iceberg. See pictures.
