Quiet location very beautiful surroundings
We had a great couple of days at Eco Tones. The location is superb i, built on the side of a steep hillside. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. No Air Con but the room we had was very comfortable. Lovely dining room facing into the surrounding landscape. And several activities on offer

Naturbewusstes Ressort in himmlischer Umgebung
Mitten in den Bergen Munnars wartet dieses unvergleichliche Ressort dessen Fokus ganz klar auf die Erhaltung der Umwelt und die Bereitstellung und Nutzung erneuerbarer und umweltfreundlicher Methoden liegt. Das Ressort ist nicht im sondern Teil des Urwaldes und das ganze Konzept darauf bedacht die Umwelt zu erhalten und einen konformen Tourismus zu bieten. Es ist definitiv kein Luxusressort, aber für Freunde der Natur eine ausgezeichnete Wahl mit exzellentem Essen aus dem biologischen Garten ein paar hundert Meter weiter den Berg hinauf.

Einmaliges Regenwald-Haus
Unser Urlaub im Eco Tones war eine Sensation! Dort angekommen wurden wir mit einem frisch gepressten Saft aus den exotischen Früchten aus dem hauseigenen Garten begrüßt. Unsere Unterkunft, ein kleines Bungalow mit Badzimmer und kleiner Veranda, wurde nach 2 Nächten kostenlos upgegraded - wir zogen in ein traditionelles Mud House. Umgeben von den Urwaldgeräuschen konnten wir super entspannen. Alles wird persönlich auf den Gast abgestimmt - die individuellen Ausflüge (zB Jeep Safari), die Essenszeiten, die Gerichte. Besonders das Essen war grandios - das beste südindische Essen überhaupt, zB der aus dem nahegegenen Stausee gefangene Fisch oder Kokosgemüse. Den krönenden Abschluss bildete ein privates Candellight Dinner zum Abschied als Überraschung. Eco Tones ist DAS Resort im Regewald - die Teeplantagen sind ca 30 Min Autofahrt entfernt. Ein traumhaftes Hotel in der Nähe von Munnar
Wir haben mit 6 Personen 3 Nächte gebucht und hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit. Besonders ist am EcoTones die (für Indien ungewöhnliche) ökologische Ausrichtung. Zum einen wird viel Wert darauf gelegt den Gästen ein naturnahes Erlebnis zu verschaffen, andererseits dass diese sauber gehalten wird. So gibt es dort kaum Plastik und Müll zu sehen, ohne dass Komfort und Hygiene hierunter leiden müssen. Da die Anlage noch recht klein ist, ist es dort umso persönlicher. So hat sich der Eigentümer persönlich Zeit genommen für eine ausgiebige Erkundungstour der Umgebung und war immer mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, wenn wir Hilfe brauchten. Herzallerliebst ist auch der Hotelhund "Choco" - ein Labrador aus Deutschland.
