Great view, noisy, less than great.
With all that follows, this is not the worst hotel I have ever stayed at and if you are heading up there to recreate - just need a place to rest your exhausted head each night, this is not a terrible choice. The hotel was recently remodeled and the bathroom was good. Not much counter space around the sink. The room was clean, but I ended up with a big wad of hair stuck to my sock from the rug near the bed. It's very close to the highway and they obviously didn't spend any money on insulating the outside walls or doors against noise (instead they supply ear plugs). So we turned on the heater fan for white noise. It made a grinding noise instead. They said maintenance would come the next day. They didn't. The bed is only 20" or so off the ground (knee height). The upstairs hall smelled like a teenage boy's bedroom our whole second day. There are no garbage cans or ashtrays outside. The only chair in the room was a wooden chair - not comfortable overall. We were in town for a funeral. We left a day early. When I went to check out there was a basket on the table and the 8 or so guests that were sitting in the lobby said I should just put my keys in the basket. Since no one who works there is ever around, a more secure key drop might be nice. Side note - I lived in that area for 27 years and still live in Montana. I picked that room because is was my cheapest option so I wasn't expecting a lot - but I feel it could have been a bit better.

My husband and his coworker had to go out of town for a job in columbia falls. This hotel was a great value for the price. My husband thought the bends were uncomfortable but otherwise an iverall great stay!

Noisy, noisy, noisy!!!
The hotel was remodeled recently. It's nicely done, but very noisy. There are no sound dampening anywhere. Sound echoes in the hallway and you can hear everything. You can even hear every tiny footsteps from above. It is a roadside hotel, so you have added traffic noise (no fault to the hotel, but doesn't help). They leave you 2 pairs of earplugs and there is a white noise machine, so they are very aware of the noise level. The room is large and the shower is modern. The bed is a comfy memory foam mattress. There is a mini fridge but no microwave or coffee maker in the room. There are two microwaves and coffee and hot water near the lobby. No breakfast is offered here. During my stay, the cleaning crew were cleaning the upstairs room at 930pm. Then, they were speaking very loudly in the hallway. I'm sure they probably thought they were speaking normally, but the hallway amplifies noise level tenfold. That is the biggest gripe of this place, noise. If you need a quiet place to lay your head down, this is not the place. Hopefully they will figure out the sound situation.
