8/10 Very good

The rooms were not like the photo online, but for their lack of aesthetics very comfortable. The online ad at expedia said there would be a balcony and continental breakfast, there was neither. The food was great in the buffet, and the front desk girl Amber was amazing, she made up for any shortfalls. We did have to listen to 2 cooks rudely argue with another guest. They opened the dinner buffet 20 minutes late, and hungry people dropping good money for dinner were frustrated. The winery has 2 wines only, but there's no tastings. Both wines are exceptionally good. We would return again, it is peaceful there. We will just hope not to listen to an unpleasent altercation between the cooks and guests.

The property is outdated but the rate is as much as modern hotels in the area. The beds are thin and cheap. The room did not have a working smoke detector. The website states "breakfast included " But was told after I checked in that it is not included. I pushed the issue at the office and they provided us with some food. The staff was friendly and the room overall was clean but for the money we paid, we will stay at another hotel next time

My husband and I stayed at the hotel this summer and we loved it. It is definitely a little dated but that doesn't bother us. We stayed during the week and there were only a couple of other people there and it was awesome all the privacy that we had. Staff was very nice. Restaurant wasn't opened the days we were there. Really close to Mammoth Cave. Awesome location and view. Will be back when we go through that way again.

That ‘70’s Show resort
This property was from the ‘70’s Show. Window a/c, which was not on when we got in the hot stuffy room, all the electrical outlets were on the opposite wall from the beds. I had to beg to use an extension cord (that I found myself) to plug in a CPAP machine. Pink Formica bath countertop. Towels and wash rags were just that-rags. Property was not child friendly.

The property was closed when I arrived. The manager was on 'vacation'. The dining room was closed. When the manager arrived, she told me she was unaware of my reservation (even though I had my confirmation) and that the TV's were 'crap' and the internet was bad. Apparently, this is a place for hunters and golfers neither of which were evident but certainly not a place for business travelers or families.

Maybe look elsewhere
Nice location, friendly staff, and good water pressure. Shoestring maintenance budget. Smelled musty. Window AC unit loud, but worked. Short staff so kitchen closed. Uncomfortable bed. Bad thing is it could be a really nice place. But it isn’t.
