Terrible customer service
The staff was, on the whole, good but the check in staff were terrible. I have gold status, they had a ton of empty rooms but refused to even think about a late check-out. I had scheduled a massage that they could only give me at 11 so i needed to be able to shower before i leave they refused to extend my check-out. This was on top of the 5 hours i had to wait in order to PAY THEM to extend my stay by one night. My key had been deactivated at noon and i had already booked for the next day but i needed to pay a resort fee. They didn't have time to attend to me to receive the money for 5 hours and, as a result, i had to sit in the lobby the entire morning and lose all the beach time. I know it sounds like I'm griping over nothing but, when you pay 350 dollars to go to the beach and you spend all of your beach time in the lobby, it's not really what you paid for.

There are way too many things that don’t allow me to rate this with a higher point in the scale. Overall I think the hospitality in this resort is mediocre, food is nothing out of the extraordinary when compared to other resorts I have been to. We were abut 25 friends who decided to meet at this resort to celebrate our 40 year anniversary and because we did not reserved as a group, the resort/restaurants were unable to accommodate us together for dinner or breakfast. We were almost discourage to eat at the restaurant and encourage to eat at the buffet, that’s how slow the service was as it appears the resort was under staffed. We went to the discotheque which was open from 11 pm to 1 am, the big screen showed a boxing event that lasted 1 round, right after that, all that screen showed ongoing was a notification that the discotheque closed at 1 am, these could have been done intermittently and they could have shown videos instead of reminding us for continuous 1 hr 45 minutes we had to leave at 1 And to top it all, the resort offered a 24 room service which was unavailable as we tried to contact room service, the bell captain, the concierge and any number listed on the phone to try to get food without any luck. We decided that this is the resort where all you asked you get a No answer

Dreams…. More light nightmare. Positives: staff was really nice and friendly. Area of Opportunities: this place needs a MAJOR makeover. There was mold in our room, the floors were dirty, there was dirt all over the walls, and the walls were falling apart. You could tell there was moisture in the walls, instead of fixing it, they tried to paint over it. The food was BASURA (that means trash in Spanish). Absolutely no flavor and taste. It tasted like microwaved food. We tried 3 different restaurants and they were all bland. Drinks were watered down. My best friend & I took 10 shots & didn’t even feel a BUZZ. Nothing. Somebody is adding liquor to the drinks to save money. How do I know this? We just came from another hotel where ONE MARGARITA had us tipsy. This place is NOT WORTH $300 a night. It was so horrible that we checked out the next day, when we were supposed to stay two extra days. Stay at the Riu in Panamá City or the Riu in Playa Blanca. It’s wayyy better experience and good for half the price.

Personal is the most friendly of anywhere I've been, flexible in the restaurants with special needs, etc. French restaurant was closed, Italian very good, breakfast very good, but lunch buffet was disappointing. On the negative side, Bathrooms needed a good dose of bleach for moldy shower floors, and during many hours they blasted loud Caribbean music, or had live entertainment that could be heard all over the property. Pools were great, but I would not choose this as a beach destination, as you need to figure out where the rocks are, and consider it is next to the shipping lanes. Beach has eroded seriously. Try not to land between 3:30 and 5:00 because you will be stuck in traffic for an hour end a half instead of 40 minutes.
