Los Amigos Tulum

We stayed in the penthouse room. It was clean and spacious. It was our first time staying in tulum but our second location. We stayed at another hotel prior and water to see different parts of tulum. Pros... like I said the place is clean and spacious. concrete floors, high ceilings a nice layout. Cons.. it's far from everting and not the safest neighborhood (vibe). the water pressure kept going in and out and literally barely any hot water. Our room had a jacuzzi and we wanted to use it but it was pointless because it would of taken the duration of our entire stay to get it to fill up with hot water. The wifi was completely down. we couldn't get a signal what so ever (it could of been a fluke) No elevator so you will have to carry your bags up (not a big deal) but letting you know.

Very good. Great staff. Very clean. Beautiful rooms. I did Wished it had a gym. Or a 24hr food service

Beautiful property in a convenient location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Close to the town and excellent shuttle service to the private beach.

It was really Clean! Amazing view and the pool was perfect!

Loved the spacious condos! Staff so friendly and helpful. Close to the central area. Downside is the construction around. They did supply ear plugs. There’s also access to a beach club at a sister location but we did not partake. We were too busy sightseeing.

The room smelled like raw sewage all night and all morning. It appears the noxious odor was coming from the toilet/shower/sink drains. No one is present at the check in counter at night to complain to. Had to deal with noxious smell until checking out early. Could not sleep and gave both wife and me a bad headache. They should not be selling this room to anyone until problem is fixed. Also the room is very small, which was understandable, but the literally placed A/C unit directly above your bed so it is not possible to sleep and have A/C on at the same time.

I loved the full kitchen, a big plus. Was very comfortable and modern. Bed was huge and comfy. Loved the little infinity pool the most, spent a lot of time on the roof meeting other guests and relaxing. We were VERY happy with Los Amigos!

I will be honest, the main picture of the pool is what I had my HEART set on to see - I believe there are 3 properties in all of Los Amigos and so they are differ. I am not going to lie I was VERY disappointed going there because from the pictures as you can see the entire communities are surrounding by jungle! That is NOT how it looks like now - there was NO TREES around and these pictures are NOT UPDATED. There is so much construction in the area (which isn't their fault) but I do think the hotel should update it to reflect what it currently looks like - because I promise you - those pictures are nothing how the building and area look like. Very disappointed in the false advertising. The receptionist were nice however and accommodating but my review is just on the appearance and the reality of the pictures - wouldn't want ppl to get the same impression I did..

Painful check in, we had to move from 3 different location, nobody was able to find my reservation (that was already paid). After 45 min, they gave me a room, which was the one the one that I booked with Skyview. Finally, the one booked was available and I have been able to let me luggage. Very comfortable room with skyview, similar to the one in the pictures. Clean but with huge spider in the bathroom. The pool was different that the one showed in almost all the pictures. The area is under construction, lot of noise during the morning until the night. Place is located at 12KM from the beach but It results to be at 30 min in car/taxi because of traffic. For the price, I was expecting a better service in a nicer area.
