Great location average stay
Room was small, no TV, no AC (heat), no extra blankets. The night of our stay there was a weeding.....nobody told us that, couldn't sleep because all the music and the event was in the middle of the hotel....

The place is nice. Neighbors are a bit noisy with a Roster crowing all morning !

Value of Hotel stay
For what we received, the cost of the hotel room was absorbent. I have paid this amount for a suite in Las Vegas. The only paved roads were he highway. The room did not even have a television . I have stayed at La Quinta for less. Staff was friendly and helpful

The entrance and grounds were inviting but it ended there. Our room was so basic - an unattractive futon type couch, furniture looked second hand and simple, room color was a basic beige, needed artwork or something to give it some kind of ambiance, view to parking lot. Went to their cantina at 10:05 and was told they closed at 10 p.m and then directed us to a wine bar at the local PEMEX in town; the restaurant was not open for breakfast and told that guests drive to one of their other properties to restaurant HaChe. Did not use the small pool but does have a functioning hot tub. Definitely not a resort. Maglen has two other properties that may be equipped better but not this one, No I would not recommend a stay at this property at the rate they charge. It was more a $100 room than anything else.

There are 3 related hotels on the property and the one we stayed at is setup bungalow style. The room was nice (no tv) but the phone didn't work. When we arrived the lobby area (very small) is at the entrance of the complex adjacent to 1 of the 2 restaurants on the property. The restaurant was busy so there was not any parking close to the lobby to allow convenient check-in they need to fix this. Our hotel was about 1/2 miles from the lobby so we were escorted. The parking for our hotel was about 1-2 blocks from our hotel and you needed to climb about 30 steps to get to our room (not convenient). Once you get off the main road everything to and at the hotel is dirt so it is very dusty. There are 2 restaurants, 1 is open breakfast/lunch and the other lunch/dinner, the food at both was excellent. Both restaurants are closed on Monday & Tuesday so if you want to eat there on those days you're out of luck not good for a "resort type" hotel. When we checked out I tried to call the lobby to get help with the luggage but since the phone didn't work I couldn't get thru, there was a worker who offered to help. Everyone that worked here is very accommodating the problem is, it is hard to get them when you need them. Would I go back again probably not, for the price they charge a premium price which is ok but they need to provide premium service. There are other hotels in the area that provide similar accommodations at a lower rate and I would try one of these next time.
