Excessive charge!!
We were a bit shocked by the hotel management to charge us in order to give us a sea view room, it was mid week and there were so many empty suits they could give us! Besides they charged us extra money for insurance which was news to me, never been charged for insurance before!!! 5 USD per person per night!!!! Seems like a rip off to me! Beer is more that twice as outside.

Really nice location, on the beach and just next to tayrona. Staff were also very helpful. WiFi was so bad, even in the communal areas and didn’t work for 2/3 of our stay anyway.

8/10 Very Good

The price was right and value was good. Looks like it use to be a great all inclusive in the day but now a bit run down and there were not many people there (not sure if that was because of time of year)? No internet in the the room although “free wifi” in pool, restaurant, lobby. Breakfast was included which we didn’t expect. Nice pool, beautiful walking area on beach but huge waves. Check in / out was a bit arduous and took a long time for nothing….

STAY AWAY.....Not worth it!!!
This is a rundown place which has seen better days. Stayed for three nighrs and NO AIR CONDITIONING for 80% of the time there. There is NO INTERNET SERVICE in the rooms. Electricity went out twice and along with that, also water service. Giant cockroaches and geckos in the room. This is a beachfront resort but the beach is not to be swimmed in. The only positive is that it is close to the entrance to Parque Tayrona but you would be better off choosing something else.

Good food, nice and clean place, good price compared to other hotels, easy access, very close to Tayrona National Park. Receptionist was not friendly. The poor quality welcome cocktail, few chairs in the pool.

Close to the Tayrona Park
The check-in process was disastrous, the lady was rude and didn't want to look for our reservation. We had to call Hotels.com to have them talk to her. The hotel in general is pretty good otherwise, large pool, large apartments, just a bit old. The wifi only worked in one of the room. Make sure you ask for an apartment where you have wifi everywhere. And pretty close to the park.

Not what they offer
The hotel is way far to be a "resort". The food always the same; no variety not a good quality as well. The pool is nice but needs to be cleaned. The experience at the restaurant was awful, the waitress forgot the food and the hotel was basically empty. The rooms old and smelly.

Dated disappointment
A few things upset me with this "resort." The first being the greeting/welcoming. We approached the gate and were hammered with questions immediately by the guard. "Do you have a reservation? How many people with you?" And the manner in which he asked, just didn't suit me. Next, we walked into the reception office for an onslaught of nonsense. Did I hear, "Hello! Welcome to Mendihuaca! So glad to have you."? NOPE! Instead, I was questioned about the amount of guests that were on the reservation. Apparently, it was a huge issue that there were a total of 3 guests, but the reservation said only 2. You would have thought I had a bomb in my bag the way they were acting. Funny though, since the room I booked specifically had three beds. So sorry that the reservation didn't note 3 people. Next, I will say the resort is pretty dated. Showers are cold. Don't expect towel service at the pool. Don't think about using the beach. The waves are always much too violent there. Food was decent, but took awhile. Service needed some work. Really it all came down to management. You could tell there was no backbone. So the place lacked structure. The place was cheap, so if you are on a budget go for it. I was hoping for a little more though.

No Hot water. Ok rooms. Great beach access
Hotels.com advertises a price that the resort doesn't seem to agree with. I had to pay 3 times the advertised rate... Out of pocket. My reservation was never confirmed. The rooms feel old & outdated. The red arenotcery comfy. There is NO HOT WATER on the entire property. The staff is not very helpful. The manager is great. Great place to relax & get beach time in. You'll spend more time on the beach than I your room, for sure.
