The room was hot, no fan in the bedroom. Noise levels from the road was very loud through out the night which meant we didn't sleep well. Breakfast was a bowl of cereal not a full continental as advertised and parking is a block down the road at a cost of R20 per night which is also not as advertised.

Hostel was really good and staff were really friendly felt more like living in a big house than a hostel. Could not ask for anything more 5 stars. Already planning the next trip back including booking the same hostel. Many thanks to Ria and Gert for making our first trip to Cape Town even better than we imagined.

Cosy, but not so clean.
its a nice cosy place for young people, dont recommend families with kids. people who smoke in the front dont close the door and the smoke travels thru the whole house! yuck! make sure you check if parking is included or you will pay again when you arrive.

Nice owner- dingy/loud room
The gentleman who treated us was lovely and helpful but our room was dingy and hot. It was near the washroom and felt like we didn't even have walls because we could hear everyone and everything at all hours. For the price we paid we felt ripped off.

It was close to my visiting location aand shops
When I arrived there late evening they was very nice staff and they gave me a tour of house, it was cosy and the other guests were very welcoming and accommodating. Their breakfast was served on time and had a lot of variety. Overall a great experience

Horrível! Fujam!!!
Chegamos encima do horário do check in. O quarto estava desarrumado ainda pois estavam arrumando. Não seria um problema se não percebessemos que a roupa de cama NÃO FOI TROCADA! Simplesmente esticaram os lençóis, e ajeitaram os travesseiros. Não tiraram sabonete e toalha do hóspede anterior. Ao levantar o edredom tinha pó por cima do lençol. O hotel não tinha toalha limpa disponível pois disseram que estava na lavanderia. Nos enxugamos com nossas próprias roupas no primeiro dia. O café da manhã era pão com manteiga e café. Como estávamos no final da viagem com compras e malas, preferimos não reclamar pois não tinhamos como saber qual seria a reação e se a estadia poderia piorar.

Unterkunft in einem bizarren Viertel
Wir haben nicht das reservierte Zimmer (the pink lepard) erhalten, dafür lediglich eine fadenscheinige Ausrede bekommen. Das vermeintlich bessere Zimmer war sehr laut, niemand hält sich hier an die Nachtruhe und niemand setzt diese durch. Kein wirkliches Management vor Ort (management by accident). Das zum Zimmer gehörige Badezimmer entpuppte sich als Duschkabine mit "interessanten" Schimmelkolonien und eine dem Raum abgeschnittene Nischentoilette mit einem schmuddeligen Vorhang als "Tür". Eine Verdunkelung des Zimmers war nicht möglich. Die Unterkunft liegt in einem nicht sicheren Viertel, trotzdem gehen hier alle möglichen Leute ständig ein und aus. Das mitgebuchte Frühstück ist ein Witz. Das ständig eher gelangweilt wirkende "Management" scheint auch an irgendwelchen Missständen nicht interessiert zu sein. Jedenfalls wurden wir in sieben Tagen nicht gefragt. Verkehrstechnisch nach Cape Town liegt die Unterkunft eher ungünstig.

Kleines, schnuckliges Hostel
Das African Heart Backpacker Hostel ist ein kleines und schnuckeliges Hostel das alles bietet was man so braucht. Zimmer und Betten waren sauber und bequem, nur wenn jmd im Haus geduscht oder den Wasserhahn aufgemacht hat, hat es das ganze Haus mitbekommen. Der weg in die Innenstadt war mit Uber Taxis in ca. 15 min erreichbar.
