Disappointing timing - weather and storm damage.
Unfortunately we arrived as the Workies was trying to deal with significant storm damage after renovations. The Club, that included reception was closed, so we pressed the "Motel Guests" button to be met with a hostile "We're closed". Yes, I can read the sign but as we were not told the stay would be affected, we pressed the button. Logical, I thought! Things improved dramatically when we were handed over, by the rude woman, to the lovely motel receptionist who explained what was happening and was extremely helpful in guiding us to the room, providing alternatives to the planned meals in the club and some rainy day ideas. Overall, the stay was ordinary, which I know was largely outside the club's control. The recommendation for the Vietnamese restaurant around the corner was awesome.

There was an unpleasant odour in the bathroom, probably coming from the drain in the shower. We noticed there had been some sort of repair there. That aside, lovely motel to spend a few days, so thanks.
