If you like Travelodge formica probably not for you. Older property with varnished skirtings and painted furniture but immaculately kept and spotlessly clean. The owners’ attention to detail is second to none, has everything you need, good shower and not stingy with the coffee supplies. Pleasant dining room and nice bar area, freshly cooked breakfast as recommended by many others. Even has effective cctv covering the carpark (we have a soft top car). Would happily stay here again.

Brilliant place to stay, warm welcome on arrival and friendly people. The room was cosy and very clean, the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was served hot, unlike most places, and one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had! Would definitely recommend staying here, look forward to going back there soon. 11/10

This hotel was an absolute joy to stay at. The proprietor was dedicated to ensuring all guests have a stress-free visit. His attention to detail was second to none. Our room (5) was spotless and the mattress provided a good night’s sleep. The communal areas (lounge and al-fresco decking) were a lovely surprise and the bar was open until 9pm. The pre-ordered breakfast was simply one of the best we had ever had. I would recommend this hotel 100%.

Lovely location, helpful and friendly staff. Great size room but needs refurbishing, every time moved around on bed it sounded like it was going to collapse or break so didn’t get very good nights sleep. Furniture was very dated and noisy to use. Floorboards also very noisy.

The hotel was exactly what we needed. Mac (host) was helpful, breakfast was perfect and the hotel was dog friendly too 🐾 Great outside space too. Minor issue was that the bar was not open (but we knew that when we booked)

Spotlessly clean room. Friendly, welcoming and helpful hosts. Bed extremely comfortable, Breakfast very good choice and tasty. If we have one criticism it’s that the room was small and the bathroom large but we understand the hosts will be rectifying that.

Check in was flawless and quick. We were asked to choose our breakfast for the next morning and a time. I think this is a great process as it prevents waste. The breakfast the next morning was excellent. It was ready very quickly and cooked to perfection. Very spacious lounge available for guests. Room was very good. Great shower with plenty of hot water. Beds were very comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and helpful. We stayed for one night before a ferry to Ireland. We would definitely stay again and for a few days.

1 night stay

Overnight stay . Lovely welcome , convenient to park and breakfast , made to order, was lovely too. The room- dated but everything there Garden area nice - sunny was a bonus Downsides- beautiful stocked bar area but not accessible after 9, even as a resident! Just wanted a glass of red on getting back but not available as the bar closed. Totally understand if that’s the rule but wish I’d known before hand. Service was faultless apart from that .
