The hotel is nice but there were negative and unpleasant drawbacks: - There is music until 12 am and you cannot sleep because it is heard in the rooms. If you want to rest, you won't be able to. We filed the complaint and no one attended to it. finally we couldn't sleep well One of the two elevators broke down and going up or down the floors became chaos. They only provide courtesy soap and water the first two nights. then they charge it or you must take it

This is my first ever hotel review and I felt it was important to write to help other people who are considering booking this hotel. The room, amenities and services are all wonderful. We loved our huge room and appreciated the little kitchen area. Our main concern was the unbearable noise. This is by far the loudest and noisiest hotel I have ever stayed at. It was so not worth the price I paid for our room if I had known that I wouldn’t get any sleep. If you’re on a lower floor, the street noise is constant and unbelievably loud. The rooftop bar plays music until 1 or 2am every night so if you’re on a higher floor you’ll get noise from both the rooftop and the street. Without exaggeration, I had some of the worst sleep of my life in this hotel. I do not recommend it based on the price point and would not return in the future.

I spent over 7 years Active Duty Army with numerous deployments and this is by far the worst sleep I’ve had in my life. We were on the 4th floor, below the rooftop bar and they started pounding and drilling at 8am. It was right above us. I lost most of my hearing in the war but even without my hearing aids the vibration from the noise was impossible to escape. I can’t imagine what my wife was hearing. There was no mention of construction on-site anywhere on their website, Expedia, or any other site. My wife tried calling the front desk but the phone went to voicemail or just rings. We tried with our cell phones and no luck either. The staff is useless. The rooftop bar goes until midnight and the music and people noise is understandable. What is not, is the employees dragging furniture right above our room until 1am so they can resume construction at 8am.The room was clean and okay. The hotel is what is expected from a boutique hotel, as far as decor but in regards to customer service is extremely poor. Timeshare sales clerk was pushy and annoying. A lot of guests are well-traveled and their pitch sale is quite mediocre. The only reason we stayed here was because it was recommended by a good friend. We have learned that unfortunately, everyone’s experiences are different. Location is convenient, but again without a goodnight sleep, there isn’t much to enjoy.

I took a 2 bedroom suite for 5 people with kitchen. It looked to a horrible noisy side street with taxis, motorcicles and delivery trucks. No plates, silver ware, glasses, etc., so the kitchen was useless. Nice room, pool, good breakfast, clean and courteous staff but not helpful. I had to stay in that room, and they told me I had to bring my own plates and silver ware, pots, pans, etc. Really strange. Maybe if the room had an inside view or ocean view I would consider staying again. As it is, I don’t plan to ever return. And why have a kitchen and dining table? Just made it more expensive.

Only spent one night but I was very glad with the room. Spacious, very well decorated, and amazing swimming pool on the rooftop. It was a bit noisy but I’m afraid that this is the same for all the hotels in Playa del Carmen. There’s music everywhere, but it was honestly fine at least for me :)

The penthouse (presidential suite) was outstanding. The only downfall is hotel room has a kitchenette with no dishes or utensils, just two coffee mugs, two saucers, two teaspoons, and a coffee maker. Beds very comfy and clean. Housekeeping outstanding! Jasmine was always ready to clean up our rooms when we asked her to come back. She went the extra mile to clean the Private pool area and restroom she also provided us with clean pool towels everyday👍 On her day off we surely missed her.

The room was very noisy. There was construction going on in the next room during daytime. I'm on the fourth floor and the rooftop pool was right above my room. It was very noisy (i.e. moving furniture sound around closing time and staff footsteps). The room was also close to the elevator and can hear the elevator going up and down all night long. Did asked for a different room but staff did not accommodate.
