The location was great for exploring the local markets and surrounding area, and the room appeared aesthetically fine on arrival. Unfortunately, our experience was otherwise very disappointing. The toilet was not working properly and eventually overflowed, flooding the bathroom. Although a plumber attended, we were told the hotel was full and we could not be moved. Of particular concern was the cleaning afterwards. The bathroom floor did not appear to be properly cleaned or sanitised after being flooded with water from the toilet, which we considered a significant hygiene issue. There was also persistent hammering/maintenance noise during our stay, making it difficult to rest. Ultimately, the combination of the flooding, hygiene concerns, inability to change rooms and ongoing noise led us to check out a day early. We requested a refund for the unused night, but the hotel declined and instead offered an upgrade and breakfast on a future stay. Given our experience, this was not a particularly useful resolution. While the location is convenient and the room initially presented well, the maintenance, hygiene and customer-service issues meant we left extremely disappointed. I wouldn't recommend.
