    Very nice staff. odd to check in 3 blocks away and then come back to a property with out staff. floor was dirty, hvac didn't work and property could use some tlc.

    Fantastic room and bathroom. Beautifully decorated, clean and plenty of room for cases and the such. The mini fridge was great to keep water cool and the electronic safe was useful. The sweets scattered on the bed (which was so comfy) on arrival was a lovely touch. The free wifi was great! Breakfast was good but I didn't like the number of fruit flies that were around. Having to check in at the other hotel was fine but my son and I didn't like not having any staff on reception. Location is good.

    Room was very clean well appointed, overall a good experience. Recently renovated. Two slight drawbacks: 1) the front desk is not manned at this property. You have to check-in at another property but it is close (<5 minute walk). 2) basement where breakfast is served smelled musty and detracted from breakfast experience.

    We were happy with: 1. It was a decent room 2. Staff was very pleasant. They suggested several good restaurants that made my birthday dinner …very wonderful 3. It was great location. 4. They left a thoughtful note and bottle of bubbles for my birthday. :) We were unhappy with our room stay for the following reasons: 1. Sent this list to the hotel twice before posting…went unacknowledged. 2. Upon our arrival we found we had to walk 1km through the square to check in at another hotel desk. The took bags back to our room. 3. Fruit flies in our room and in the lobby. 4. Room door had to be slammed hard to make it shut/secure. Came back from walk to find it was open as we had not known to slam it. 5. Floor dirty. We found a good amount of dirt/dust kept getting on the bed from our feet due to the dirty floor. 6. Hooks to hang towels. One was broken off and missing. The other was 1/2 hanging off. 7. I ran out of hot water during shower on the first night. 8. Bathroom lighted mirror was not working. 9. Bathroom countertop was chipped/broken. 10. Drain plug in bathtub was broken and would not work. 11. We paid $8 each for a breakfast which we could not finish/enjoy as the basement room was full of fruit flies...very frustrating. We needed to find another breakfast place to eat so we paid twice. 12. There was not any place to relax other than room. No patio to enjoy a glass of wine. Tried the lower hallway sofa but pestered by fruit flies.

    I tried to cancel my reservation 3 weeks before in person at the hotel They tried to help but they told me to call Expedia which I did . Nobody helped with the issue so I ended paying for a night without been there!!! Disappointment !!!!

    Position was brilliant - just off C di Fiori.Reception does not exist so you have to check in at another hotel-5 mins walk away over cobbles with nobody to help with bags.We hadn't realised this before & did not like it! It meant we had to alter destination of booked taxi from airport - we have a little Italian, but the driver had no English, so this was a bit tricky. When we arrived at the Hotel Teatro di Pompeo to check in, the receptionist was lovely, but we got lost walking to Navona Essence Hotel, as it is easy miss - just a doorway in a small street. Also we didn't like the feel of being in a hotel with no reception - an empty desk is not welcoming.We went to celebrate my partner's 70th birthday & it was a nice touch that a small bottle of prosecco was in our room.The room was very pleasant with a contemporary yet comfortable feel & had excellent soundproofing (the pedestrian street is noisy late at night) Our 2 daughters joined us for 2 nights but were told they would have to change rooms after 1st night-annoying as they only had a brief time in Rome.Room cleaned daily but we had to borrow bath towels from daughters one day when they forgot to replace them!The breakfast room was a bit dark in the basement with chilly ac.Breakfast was adequate - coffee from machine (but tasty) Not fresh breads. Cereals, cold meats and cheese ok, juice - not natural.There was an abundance of fruit flies - not nice.Overall ok but not good enough for the price of the hotel.

    This hotel was hit and miss. You have to check in at a completely different property across the square which is a bit of a pain, there is no one at reception on the property. The room was nice and spacious but lacking a bit in cleanliness. We had a junior suite and the tub instantly filled up with water when showering, drain needs to be cleaned. The balcony was lovely and the bed was comfortable, plenty of closet space. So some good, some bad. I would give it a 3.5 star.

    Check in is required at a sister hotel and when we arrived they could not locate our key. We were given an access key but that couldn’t trigger the lights so our first night was in the dark. On the second day, the air conditioning was out for all the rooms
