Modern comfort with an ocean view
I booked two rooms for our family. One had an ocean view suite with King and Double and the other had a street view with two Double beds. Worlds apart, and quite a bit of walking between the two, so I upgraded from the street view to a second ocean view room, which is why we came to the hotel and the location. The suites are very new and modern, all the amenities you would expect. The older portion of the hotel has updated furnishings and bathrooms, but not all rooms have views, so it's worth calling the front desk to make sure you get what you are expecting. The staff was friendly and courteous. Check in was slow but fine. Check out was simple. The rooms are very clean and quiet. We enjoyed watching the low tide birds from our windows and balcony, as well as the busy and diverse boat traffic in the sound. We saw everything from yachts, to fishing trawlers, to rowers, to sailboat races. Would stay here again.

Shower door glitch
New renovation not quite done yet. For instance, no decor items at all yet. Very clean. Main issue was that shower door would not stay closed — it would slide wide open every two seconds while you’re taking a shower. A small thing but very annoying.

This is the place to start in Port Townsend!!
I would recommend this hotel to everyone, especially couples.Beautifully remodeled, modern room with a jetted tub with a water view! Very comfy bed and all the amenities, great place for a great price!

Great location, run down accommodation
The double-glazed balcony sliding door had a broken seal so that the moisture between the panes of glass made it impossible to see the beach. By the looks of it, the doors had been broken for some time. Also, the microwave did not work and the fridge sounded like it was on its last legs so that we had to unplug it in order to sleep. Overall, the room was in an older annex of the hotel and really needed renovation. Was certainly not worth the rate we paid.

The room had been recently updated so it was clean. The room was small, so hard to move around in but had a excellent water view. The management was nice and helpful. The room was walking distance from downtown. We would probably stay here again.
