Love it!
The check in wasn’t easy to find because we didn’t know where to go (maybe it was writen in the comfirmation email and we didnt see it) but the room was spacy. Quiet place to stay. Loved the variety of free breakfast!

Basic, but convenient and clean.
This is a great place to stay in the summer if your are looking for an inexpensive alternative to hotels. It is a university dorm, so be prepared to share the washroom facilities, which are no co-ed, down the hall with other guests. This was a bit inconvenient during the night, but not a major problem. The room was very basic-it is a student dorm-but it was comfortable and very clean. A complimentary, continental breakfast was available in a separate building. The only downside is that there is no air conditioning. In Atlantic Canada this is usually not an issue. However, this summer has been unusually hot with very warm nights; so sleeping in the heat was not the most comfortable experience. Overall, I will likely stay here again when all I need is a place to lay my head for the night. It is convenient to downtown Halifax. Parking was a bit of an issue, but it is not an insurmountable problem.

Cheap Downtown(ish) Accommodations
The whole reason we stayed here was because of the price. It was at least 50% cheaper than anywhere else and great location. The building wasn't clearly marked and there are many buildings on campus, we tried 2 before finding the right one. Check in was very easy and the woman working was very nice. She gave us some takeout food recommendations which we ended up ordering. Pros were that the room was very clean and had it's own fridge. The campus is very close to downtown, it was only a $10 cab ride. Breakfast was also included but we didn't attend as the hours are fairly early. Biggest issues were there was no air conditioning or fans in the room. It was very hot and humid inside. Another issue was the doors slam and the walls are paper thin. In the morning I could feel the wall by my bed vibrate due to people leaving their rooms and the doors slamming. Bathrooms are also shared between all the guests. This isn't an issue for me but it could be for others.

Cheap but central
You get what you paid for! It was a convenient location and was clean. We stayed in a room that was quite muggy and didn’t realize it had shared bathrooms but we made it work!
