We stayed here and unfortunately the hotel did not match the reviews. We got to the hotel and checked in quickly, but after arriving and a long day of travelling we wanted to freshen up in the Whirlpool bath we specifically booked. Unfortunately there was no hot water. I raised this immediately to reception who spent the next 2 hours tryingto fix it without luck. I asked to be moved rooms and they did not allow this, despite there only being 3 other rooms booked in that day (out of at least 12) I was promised it would be fixed, but it never did. The bathroom had serious signs of damp and was permanently cold, and at no point during our stay did we get hot water.
Upon checkout the hotel tried to charge even more than the booked rate on hotels.com at which point I had to negotiate them down to a lower rate and this took over 30 minutes to complete. This is probably the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. The staff were very friendly and tried to be helpful, but really moving me to another room that worked would have been the most helpful thing they could do, or just allow me to stay in another hotel. The rate I paid was still far too much and if you're paying full price, don't bother it isn't justified.
