I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Karuna! My room and views were such a joy after many weeks of travel. The hotel staff were wonderful and accommodating to my every need and request and the breakfast options were very satisfactory. The location is just off lakeside so it is right in the centre of the tourist area. The only thing I would note is that there is no elevator for older guests (but they do list this and are so helpful carrying your bags) - so just be aware before booking, and the street can get very noisey at night with locals teens partying (but it usually wrapped up around 11pm).

This might just be the best hotel in the world, ever. I’ve done a lot of travelling around Asia and the lovely people that run this hotel absolutely ace it in every way imaginable. I can’t think of a better place I have stayed for this amazing price.

This hotel says it is family friendly… and it is!!! From the welcoming staff that smile and engage with the children, to toys in the lobby for the kids to play with, the management and staff go above and beyond to meet the needs of their guests! The owners are very involved with the daily running of the hotel and you can get real pour over coffee (not instant!!) with breakfast every morning. We highly recommend to anyone traveling with or without children!

Outstanding stay
Our stay at Hotel Karuna was outstanding. The hotel is very comfortable, clean, well maintained. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathroom are clean and functional. The hotel is a stone throw away from the main strip at Lakeside but has the benefit of being tucked away and quiet. There is a small courtyard/garden where you can sit and have a coffee/tea. The breakfast and coffee are delicious. The staff is outstanding. They were caring and helped us find what we needed. We would definitely stay there again whether to spend some time in Pokhara or as a base to trek in the Himalayas.
