hurricane related stay
The Front desk was very nice at check in, due to a recent power outage there was no TV/internet which he informed me before checkin, which was appreciated, but not a deal breaker for my sister and I. We were there due to no power at our home after hurricane Delta. The room was beautiful when we entered, but we were shocked do discover a 9mm GUN in one of the drawers. We called the FD to come and he apologized, stating the following excuses 1) the FBI had been staying in the hotel and it was one of theirs and he knows them, 2) housekeeping didnt work day before due to hurricane. We demanded Law Enforcement be called to retrieve the Gun, they eventually came and removed it, asking us for our identity. I explained to the FD if their housekeeping staff missed a GUN in a draw, WHAT else could they miss. Well, let me tell you, there is a stove top with pot and a frying pan, NO Plates or utensils. The tub has no safey handrail and is very slippery. The HVAC unit was dusty. The tub leaked. But to be fair, the bedding was immaculate complete with hospital corners. Neither my sister nor I were comfortable staying after that, but we were unable to find another pet friendly hotel and unable to go home due to the power situation. We almost brought my sisters 5yo grandchild with us. What if she had found it while we were bringing up the bags? What if my sister had not opened that draw first thing? I can honestly say, I will not recommend this hotel or stay there again.

Friendly staff with all the must have amenities
I stayed for a whole weekend, two nights. All employees were super friendly and helpful. Check-in was a breeze. The free coffee in the lobby tastes great. Room was very spacious. Great AC and tons of hot water in the shower. Location is close to many restaurant options plus many of them are on the Waitr app if you do not want to leave your room. I would definitely stay at this location again.

Due to Covid, breakfast was cancelled but coffee was still available. Smelled very clean and rooms were very clean.

The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I asked if the room was sanitized and she replied yes. We didn't see any signs to indicate otherwise. Staff had a face covering on.
