The vacation started off a little rocky, when checking in we were told by the guy that checked us in if we booked through HiltonHonors vs Hotels.com more could be done to change the room. Once the room finally got fixed to a Gulf view that changed the trip. The property is very nice and the location was in the State Park. Lots of things to do and see plus take the time to relax on the beach. Just listening to the waves and seeing dolphins was great. We will travel to this property again.

From the moment we arrived we loved it. From the ocean views, to the pool and game area, to the restaurant. It was just all really nice. Every employee was wearing a mask and sanitation was a top priority. I highly recommend this hotel when staying down in Gulf Shores.

The Lodge, itself, was very nice - clean, friendly staff, plenty of things to do. But the parking lot is entirely too far away. Our room was at the very far end of the "rooms" building. The parking lot is 3 buildings away on the other side of the lodge. Only 3 handicap parking spots for the entire lodge, and those were always full so even though I have a placard I had to park very far away. In addition, for such a big Lodge there should be more beach access spots. There is only 1 (although that may be due to storm damage not yet repaired). Had it not been for those things I would have given a 5 star.

Loved The Lodge at Gulf State Park. The room was so clean and we had the suite, which was so nice with the separate room with bunk beds for my kids. Staff was friendly and the restaurant, Foodcourt, was good. Our visit was in February during really cold weather, so we couldn't enjoy the beautiful pool & beach location. It was nice to walk the trail across the highway in the state park. They have bikes to rent on site as well. Definitely would like to return during warmer weather.

It was a good hotel, just the parking was extremely far. It was poorly designed. They also gave my room away when I booked in advance. I was issued a room that was left.😒

We really enjoyed our stay! Pretty, clean, and friendly. We had a gulf front room and and there was a small window to open...built in sound machine. Loved it. Would have given a 5 but the walk to the parking lot was a hike. Wish they had a valet
