My international travels are plenty. There are only a handful of places that I would take the time to review. Hands down...this is one of them. I’m addressing that type of traveler who wants to experience the real culture of the place that they are visiting... and a bit more. The Ginger House is a hotel that shares space best described as a museum/gallery/collection of local art/artifacts/furniture that would blow your mind. The accommodations are phenomenal and the details are off the charts. This is a hotel for those who enjoy unique and local charm all wrapped up in one. The hotel manager Nishad started contacting me before I left the states...asking about my arrival and my preferences. He is extremely kind and professional. The property director Manju greeted us at every breakfast with a smile and any amount of conversation that you desire. The restaurant is situated exactly on the water’s edge...so that you can see the local fishermen(actually more women) pass by daily. This is the real deal. You really have to see it for yourself. I hope you do.

Memorable stay with family
Fantastic 8 room boutique property in the heart of Jew Town in Kochi. Very spacious rooms, luxurious bathrooms with rain showers and automatic WCs, and Room no 2 and 4 have fabulous views of the water. The hotel is very tastefully made by the owner Mr Majnu who is a very hospitable host and takes personal care of you. The food at the restaurant is really delicious - a plus! The restaurant is outdoors and is by the water's edge, which makes for a great ambience. You step out of the hotel and you are a short walk or auto ride away from everything in Fort Cochin.
