Great location, wonderful lounge/common area. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it, but we were just there overnight. I have seen rave reviews about this place. Artwork is great; decor wonderful. We had a private room. The beds were ok, not very comfortable, somewhat noisy. As for cleanliness, all was great except there were long dark hairs stuck on the shower walls and the toilet in the bathroom. Seems kind of obvious...

We stayed in the Penthouse. It is not the Inn's fault, but the noise from the Tantalo Bar next door made sleep very difficult. In addition, the room door has a keyed deadbolt, which would be unwieldy in the event you had to leave the room quickly, and no security chain. The staff was reasonably helpful. The mattress was excellent, and the shower was really good. I would have rated the inn Very Good except for the noise. If you don't mind that, it's a great place.

Front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. The airport pick up and drop off they organized for us was on time. The room was super cute and very clean. Great part of town, so close to walk around everything in Casco Viejo neighborhood.

Magnolia Hotel is in a perfect location in Casco Viejo. If you want an affordable accommodation you simply can't go wrong. Although a solo traveler I had one of the family rooms and would certainly recommend it for cost for a family of 4 on a budget (perfect size for sleeping and not much else). It's a quiet hostel with a shared kitchen and common areas, great for meeting and chatting with others. There are two small balconies were you can take some quiet time and listen to the activity of the old city. It's a perfect, clean and simple accommodation if you want to be in the old city. If you don't have a burning desire to do that, book one of the hotels in the city (with pool, restaurant etc) for a similar price as my room. Staff were varying degrees of friendly but all were helpful.

We loved our time at the Magnolia Inn and especially the wonderful people that own it and operate it. What started out as Awkward situation turned out to be wonderfully positive because the owners handled it so well. Thank you for that again. The location of the end is perfect for old town. We love the fact that there is a huge kitchen and communal eating area that we could all share. However our rooms were not part of the hostile, but are indeed lovely hotel rooms. A wonderful place to stay and I would highly recommend it.
