Sun trap garden laid to lawn. The cottage is a 2 minute walk to Burry Port centre with shops, pubs, restaurants, and the marina, harbour, lighthouse and town beaches just beyond. New childrens playground just around the corner. Burry Port is well placed for access to Cefn Sidan, Wales' longest (7 mile length) beach and numerous activities at the stunning family friendly Pembrey Country Park. The Millennium Coastal Park passes through for miles of cycling and walking along beautiful clear seawater estuary coastline. Within easy day trip reach of the Gower Peninsula and Pembrokeshire coastlines for breathtaking scenery, beaches and walking. 5 Cae Dolau

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped, in a great location near harbour, shops and rail station, a good base for exploring South Wales. Burry Port is a very friendly place with a fascinating history, and having somewhere like 5 Cae Dolau to come back to after a day out exploring made us feel even more at home. Only downside was some noise from next door's TV, which was occasionally quite loud, but that isn't Richard's fault. Apart from that a great place to spend a week - especially since we had fairly good weather in a week when most of the country was under water!

    Lovely cottage for family holiday

This was our first family holiday to Wales and we loved the property. The size, although of cottage proportions, works well for a family of 4 and the furnishing was lovely. Richard was hugely helpful and responsive to queries and gave us excellent pre holiday info. We didn't do much in Burry Port itself but the cottage was a good base to explore the local area. Highly recommend.

    Summer break

We had a lovely short break at Richard's cottage. A great place to recharge. Cottage was just as described. Everything needed for a short break. Good quality bedding and a very comfy bed! Kitchen had all that was needed to prepare meals. The decor was eclectic but it all worked well to create a cosy and relaxing space. The garden was great although we did a lot of sightseeing we didn't really have chance to use it but the picnic table was a surprise! Burry Port for us had a surprising connection to one of our favourite parts of the world, Newfoundland and its connection to Amelia Earhart.

    Great house and location

The property was really well situated, a short walk to the harbour and beach as well as easy assess to all the main roads to explore the surrounding area. We had a lovely relaxing week in the house. Everything was there for us, very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Would definitely like to go back.

    Cae Dolau

We are looking forward to staying again at this lovely cottage, with a wonderful garden, and a secure bike shed. If you bring a bike then try route 47 to Swiss Valley and retrace Britain’s first railway.

Fantastic stay in this beautiful coiisttage

We had a lovely time in this cottage, it was the perfect place for our getaway in West Wales. The cottage was clean, well furnished and the beds were very comfortable. The kitchen is modern and has everything you need and whilst the cottage is cosy, there is ample space to eat, relax and especially enjoy the huge garden. It is only a short walk into Burry Port itself, with great pubs and restaurants on offer. We would definitely stay again, Richard communicated everything promptly and check in/check out was super easy. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Cosy peaceful cottage, with everything you’ll need within walking distance

We had an amazing time at the cottage & the surrounding area, especially Pembrey Country Park & Beach, a 5min drive away and accessible via the Wales Coast Path, which offers excellent walking & cycle routes. It was a real pleasure returning back to the cottage each day. Burry Port offers beautiful views to the East of the Gower Peninsula, Rossili (the furthest point, on the peninsula) being less than an hours drive. Just over an hour away, further West is Tenby. Keep an eye on the tides times and enjoy walking along the beach at Burry Port (looking out to sea, it’s left of the lighthouse) low tides are amazing and here you’ll find a boyd swimming area. There’s plenty of free parking to. Would definitely recommend to friends & family, I can see myself returning one day to - thank you Richard 😊

Lovely house by the seaside :)

The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and the kitchen fully equipped with new pans and utensils, Richard left Milk and tea for us which was a nice touch. The shower was nice and strong and the area really quiet and restful. The house was an Excellent base from which we've explored Gower Bay and Pembrokeshire, no complaints from me apart from the weather hehe
