    Family visit

This a nice hotel in a really beautiful location. Rooms are of a good size with super king bed. Tea and coffee making facilities are in room also. There is a wall mounted TV with limited channels, most of which had interference. Room has a large bathroom which has a separate shower and bath. Our room had a view over the river. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel has its own restaurant which was busy though we didn’t eat on the night we stayed. It also has a bar though this closes early ( pub over the bridge is open later). The hotel seems to have had a busy season as such things have become tired with stains on walls from spilled drinks and our shower had a broken part which made it difficult to use. Would I stay again? Yes I would!

We received a warm welcome, the room was beautifully decorated and very clean. It is unfortunate that the current, nationwide situation meant that the latest order for dinner was 7.30pm - difficult for us and we noted, many others, however the staff were clearly making every attempt at lessening the impact of being so short staffed. Much business is being lost - we hope that this will improve in future for the sake of the hotel. We would definitely recommend and hope to make a return trip in the near future.

The staff and Manager in particular where warm and friendly. Food was generally good. I felt it odd to not be able to charge to the room but this was a minor thing. There was an issue with the plumbing which was not possible to resolve whilst we were there but the issue was well handled and did not cause too much of a problem. The room was well appointed and we had an enjoyable stay!

Great central position in village. Limited parking at the back of hotel. Room was lovely with good bathroom, although a stronger shower would be nice. Very quiet in the night.

    okay for single night visit.

excellent food though limited menu and coffee machine not working. Room spacious with all amenities. Breakfast mediocre with no brown bread available. Packed lunch suffered for same reason. Superb location for scenery and outdoor activities.friendly service and reception.

Great location , experience open to improvement.

Very good room relatively recently refurbished, pricey though at £328 for 2 nights 1 person. Food was very disappointing, such opportunities with great Welsh produce rather than using a food service company. First night there was a wait of nearly 2 hours as waiter failed to give kitchen our order then no mashed potatoes to go with lamb shank which was obviously a precooked reheated dish . 8oz sirloin ordered medium was in fact 4 oz and well done . Service much improved 2nd night. Very annoying that food and drink cannot be charged to rooms but requires settling at each time. Locals 10% discount looks like a Welsh tourist tax has already been imposed.
