Great location in the rural heart of the Alps, yet 15 minutes away from beautiful Berchtesgaden from which it is easy to catch a bus to Salzburg. In addition, their breakfast (included) is very good, and their restaurant (and bierstube) are also convenient, with a good menu and good taste! And although the room is a bit small (usual for Germany), I recommend this hotel very highly. The view from the dining room is really beautiful!

A great Berchtesgaden option
We found Alpenhotel Beslhof to be very comfortable with a great view and good service. As we were visiting the Eagles Nest, we found our room 501 to be perfectly appropriate, at the top of the hotel with majestic views of the countryside and the mountains, and only a short distance from Berchtesgaden. Ruland the chef actually checked us in, fed us well and joined us in the bar for some very good discussions.

Hard mattress. Poor quality sheets and pillow Piir quality breakfast. Rooms not sound proof. For all those reasons I would never stay here again.

Beautiful location, pleasant staff, great breakfast. The on site restaurant offers delicious meals. Very close to the town of Berchtesgaden, 4 minutes from the Hintersee, and a short drive into Salzburg makes this a great home base to explore the area for a few days.
