Excellent Customer Service
Wonderful stay at The Wembley with a beautiful view. They also provide small courtesies that some other hotels we stayed at don't have such as fresh popcorn in the lobby while waiting for check in/out as well as disposable slippers for the room. The pool is of decent length to get some laps in. My mom accidentally left her swim suit at the hotel after we checked out. And they were able to return it to us when we realized the following day which we appreciated. I will definitely be returning to The Wembley for any future visits to Penang and also recommend it to friends.

Staff were helpful and the stay was very comfortable. Good views of Penang from the hotel room too. Thank you to the staff for preparing a beautiful set up and cake for my birthday. Hotel is also conveniently located to many eateries

Feel cheated
I have made the booking for a Deluxe room on the Hotels.com site but upon checking in, I was given a standard room instead of my booked Deluxe room. The hotel gave me the excuse that they are fully booked. However, upon checking again, they told me that they have a Deluxe room available but i have to pay extra for the so called upgrade.

Location of st giles wembley is not as convenient to be on same side to 1st avenue or komtar side. As the shopping centres are on the opposite side, crossing the road is often challenging. And housekeeping service at st giles wembley is extremely disappointing. And terrible without the basic necessity to replace the floor mat, hand towels. Room make up is not assumingly confirmed even after the room make up light is pressed. Slippers are missing one without the courtesy to provide a new pair. Booking the rooms via 3rd party such as expedia has not been given clearly. I assumed breakfast is included when the front desk informed mine was without breakfast. Staying at wembley hotel is the first hoping it would be a pleasant one. Regrettably it shall be the last one. Witnessed twice guests were at front desk expressed their displeasure. And it confirmed the service culture must improve. I believe my stay at wembley hotel is over, and nothing i could offer except to say my family and I will stay at another hotel which we know it has given us a pleasamt experiences from our past visits to penang.
