Corrine, the local property owner and manager, is fantastic! This was one of our families best experiences ever. We loved the bungalow and the property. The bungalow's are nearly new and absolutely stunning. The decor and layout is superb and tops the finest hotels. Corrine's friends, next door, operate an outstanding restaurant with sumptuous dinners. If you visit Tahaa, this is a excellent place to stay. Corrine also has local connections that can help with logistics (transportation and moving around.) Logistics can be challenging and a bit confusing but if you choose to stay with Corrine, she has an excellent local connection that can help arrange private water taxi and rental cars. It's a great situation. The property offers bicycles and kayaks and has a wonderful waterfront with a dock. It is easy to snorkel as the reef line runs right by. Fishing is good. I like to fly fish and had a ball catching grouper and trumpet fish. It is a great place for the family who likes outdoor activities and generally steers away from very lavish resorts. (This place is very beautiful and fancy but family friendly and modest) Here you can shop locally, eat on your own and at the restaurant on-site if desired. Great overall combination and a perfect situation to integrate and learn the local culture. Corrine is a teacher and speaks very good English. She and her family are very precious and wonderful. Thanks Corrine!! we will not forget..

Didier, Corinne and Justine are wonderful hosts. We stayed 10 days. Great location[the best on the island IMHO] facing Bora Bora and it's magic sunsets. The restaurant serves excellent cuisine. Canoeing to the Coral Garden was a breeze. Snorkeling off the deck was charming. Visit the neighboring Pari Pari distillerie and bring home a bottle of Paris Gold awarded rhum. . Rent a moped and explore Taha'a. PS: Some guides recommend an outing to the "Plage Joe Dassin". We thought the effort to get there was not worth it.

The proprietor, Roberto, is awesome. He takes serious pride in his properties. The rooms are outstanding, brand new. There are studio type kitchens with a burner, microwave, refer, coffee setup, and dishes. We rented a scooter from Roberto and went to one of the magasins (stores) on the island for cream, deli meats, cheese, and fruit juice. That was our brekfast. The dinner (laid back local atmosphere) was outstanding. Like all rooms on Tahaa, the guest needs to prearrange transport from Raiatea, and in this case, Roberto. Try to arrange this part of your transport during weekdays. The weekends are pricey. When you arrive, the taxi man will chase down Roberto to get you your room(everyone knows everyone on his island). There are six bungalows rented out. The entire island is quiet and this locale shares the quiet and solitude. While located on the circle road of the island, I think we counted 8 cars over 24 hrs. We felt like we had a more genuine local experience staying at the Tahaa village. And yes, that will be our 'go to' home away from home for our next visit to Tahaa. Thank you to Roberto and his beautiful wife Lily.

Allez y !
