Quiet room nicespace and balcony but no pool im the complex

I have very mixed feelings about my recent stay and I have usually had very good experiences with accommodation managed by Arise. The location and the reception staff were excellent. But the reception desk is manned Tues-Sat (no mention of this, and we arrived Sunday so I expected to see someone on Monday). The apartment was clean and near new but the things that did not work well are listed in several other reviews. The main concerns were the smell in the apartment and the carpark lift. Firstly there was a strong unpleasant smell everytime we walked into the apartment and we had to open the balcony door each time to air it out. I thought it was coming from the drains but reception told me these had been investigated and they thought it was from the building site nearby. If that was the case I can't work out how the smell was stronger in the corridors and in the apartment than in reception or outside on the street. Much has already been written about the carpark lifts so I was aware of it before we arrived. We had hired a medium sized 7 seater for our family of 4 as we were on holiday. I was prepared for the lift being narrow for larger cars like ours. I was not prepared for the lift door to close without warning on my car while I was backing into the lift and cause damage to the back panel between the back door and the rear of the car.

Liked the location...very accessible to CBD and plenty of food options Dislikes-no dish rack provided

It is a great location, close to museums, galleries, Coles, etc

Accessible, good location,staff were awesome and friendly. My stay was not long enough 😉

Lovely rooftop area, gorgeous to sit with a glass of wine. Hated the parking... you have to use a car lift to get to parking level. Did not make me want to use my car during my stay - took an Uber rather than try to sort the lift out again. Surprised there was no gym or pool, assumed there would be one.

Clean, modern and spacious. Also situated on a quiet street.

The property was minimalist - but what they had was well done - functional glasses, cups etc (not the tiny ones often found in hotels). A selection of pillow ‘softness’ so you could choose one to suit you. Excellent street noise and sunlight exclusion - so a peaceful night sleep. Check in/out out of office hours was seamless. Finally the variety of eateries and attractions within walking distance was a bonus. Nb: it would have been good to have had a ‘heads-up’ about the drive-in car lift to access the car park. It worked fine though.

Great property. Only drawback Wifi a bit hit and miss with the connection. Plenty of eats close by!
