"Motel located a main street, so easy to find. Received text containing room number and door code prior to arrival. Motel is modern and clean. All roomx have heat pumps, so cozy all year long. Parking right outside room door and all rooms on ground floor. Though staff are not on site, they are easy to contact via phone and they are extremely friendly and helpful. Motel is within walking distance to restaurants and shops. From what I could see, I think this is the nicest motel/hotel in Stratford....

"This is my second stay at Tairoa Lodge. It is a beautifully restored house with kauri floors and staircase, set in a large garden. Outside, the kauri trees, although young for kauri trees, are magnificent. Linda was an attentive host with a good eye for the details that make your stay memorable. There was also a continual bad smell which smelled like very dirty washing and body odour. " really love the cabin — it feels so warm and cozy. The only thing I think could be improved is the password lock for the toilet and kitchen area. I understand it’s for safety purposes, but I’m not sure if it’s really necessary. Sometimes I’m carrying a lot of things, and it can be a bit inconvenient to key in the password before going inside.
