The host, Marco, had to cancel our reservation the day of because of a roof leak. After numerous attempts to reach him about processing a refund through Expedia, he has NOT ONCE responded. He has essentially robbed me of $1000 dollars. I am working with Expedia directly in this matter, but I shouldn’t have to. A roof leak is unexpected and understandable, even if it left us in quite a pickle the day we arrived. Ignoring communications about a refund and not processing this himself is unacceptable.
