Delightful and Restful
The hotel and staff were beyond amazing. They were genuinely friendly and helpful immediately to any of my needs. The grounds, too, were very interesting. I spent 3.5 hours walking trails in the forest. It was delightful and relaxing. I want to come again and have my friends visit as well.

Beautiful castle and gardens. Very helpful staff. Great breakfast. Did not eat dinner at the hotel, opted to eat dinner in the town of Luso and Coimbra. The castle is situated in a beautiful national forest and makes for a great adventure.

You're in a palace. What more do you need? Though, the rooms are a little older and run down, you're in a palace! They were clean and comfortable enough. It's so beautiful just to sit inside or in the gardens. Walking around Bussaco forrest is one of the most incredible experiences of my life. This was my second visit and I will be returning.

Fairy tale hotel
Buildt as a retreat for a king and later used as a resort for the rich. Spacious common rooms and a grand staircase. Excellent foods served in a beautiful dining room. The hotel is placed in a big park with numerous trails in the woods.
