Amazing location, disappointing stay
The location of this hotel is exceptional and one of its few positive aspects. Unfortunately, that’s where the praise ends. My friends and I booked two separate rooms—one a twin deluxe and the other a king deluxe. While their twin room featured soft, comfortable beds, my king room had an extremely firm, almost rock-hard bed, making it difficult to rest properly. The biggest issue, however, was the inability to control the room temperature. Both rooms were unbearably hot, feeling like saunas, and we had no option but to sleep on top of the beds without any blankets. When we approached the front desk for assistance and inquired about switching rooms, we were informed that temperature control was set for the entire hotel and could not be adjusted individually. This was very disappointing and significantly affected our stay. While Beijing itself is a vibrant and beautiful city that we thoroughly enjoyed exploring, this hotel fell short of expectations. Regrettably, I would not choose to stay here again.

The hotel is an older hotel compared to others around the neighborhood. The location is fantastic though. The swimming pool requires you to wear a swimmer cap so remember to bring one. The fitness center is older and doesn't really have good AC. There's also no towels or water in the fitness center. There are towels in the swimming pool area and the bathroom has showers for you to wash up before going to your room.

Nice, but would stay somewhere else next time
When I reserved our room online it stated that the room slept three people. It was a suite so I assumed that there would be a hideabed. This wasn’t the case and I ended up paying for a roll away at $40 a night. I felt it was false advertisement. The location was walkable (30 min) to many attractions in Beijing which was nice.

Really great location, stayed for 6 nights. Had club access and the food and drinks were really really good. Room was a bit old but really clean and had a very comfortable bed. Train station is line 8 which made it so easy to get around the city. Plenty of great shops and places to eat. The staff were really good and very friendly . I would definetley recommend a stay here and would certainly would stay again.

The hotel is in serious needs of renovations. The air conditioning in room didn't work, and the bathroom was not tiled properly. Water was collecting in cracks in the tiles and I suspect there was mold in there. The windows were extremely dirty (to the point that it was difficult to make out the weather outside).

You can’t beat Novotel’s location. While the hallways to our hotel room are little worn, our room feels plush. The room is nicely furnished, spacious and clean. The weekend buffet was a nice spread with an assortment of dishes.
