We believe this is one of the best places we have stayed in. The only complaint we had was being told the staffing was thin due to an event that every one was prepping for. The roooms were great the people were outstanding.

Worst SLEEP ever.
Firstly we were given a disabled room without requesting one, not bad, big but the shower room is very disconcerting.
The room was HOT, no Aircon and the window only opens a few centimetres.
Only handsoap and shampoo provided in the shower, no shower gel. Towel was laughably small.
Our room was also a conjoining room with a paper thin door that our neighbours will attest to, as they felt like BANGING on it at 1am because our TV was "too loud".
Conveniently positioned next to the security door leading to the lifts, it works well and SLAMS shut every 10/15 minutes from around 6am as people come and go. It could do with a little oiling too.
A 5 minute walk from the LUAS red line but still an hour into Dublin City Centre.
All for the small price of £166/€200

Disappointing stay
The hotel is looking a little tired. It appears they are starting to update the rooms. We had a delux family room. It was comfortable, but there was nothing deluxe about it. We stayed there on a really warm night and there was no way of adjusting the temperature. It was horrible.
Our main reason for staying there was the pool. It is really busy with swimming lessons. The chlorine is so strong, it stung our eyes. Hotel guests only have access to a tiny section of the pool, due to the swimming lessons. Even the Children's pool was being used for lessons. This caused great distress to my non- verbal autistic child.
The worst part of the stay was due to only one lift working. My husband nearly fell due to the lift not stopping level with the floor before opening doors. Again, the delay in getting a lift made it really difficult to manage my beautiful autistic child.
We didn't eat in the restaurant because it was too much hassle to get everyone down for breakfast. There's a lidl next door. My husband bought our breakfast.
The staff we met were really friendly.

Could do better
Am not normally given to complaints but there were a number of issues here:- mould on tiles around bath, particularly around tap units and other fittings, broken window catch, TV remote held together with tape and not functioning ( took 2 attempts to get a working replacement), needed 2 attempts and one hour to get an additional tea-bag and milk in room (!), curtains could not cover window to exclude light, cracked bathroom sink. Otherwise not too bad!! Restaurant on arrival was a positive.

This hotel is not near the city center of Dublin but you can get to the city center with the train just down the street. It will take you about 30 minutes to ride down there. It’s off a highway and not walkable to anything. The hotel does not have air conditioning and we were sweating every night. There is a window that barely opens. We asked for a fan twice and never got it. The amenities were not available. Tried to go to the pool and gym twice and they weren’t available. It wasn’t the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in but we wouldn’t stay again.

Not a great stay - the room was shoddy - no air conditioning so very hot even though it was only 18° outside. The window only opened 10cm and the catch was broken so it wouldn’t stay open without rattling. We would have moved to another room but none available. The room is noisy and the walls very thin.
The toilet wouldn’t flush properly and we had to phone up to get more toilet roll as only one in a three day stay.
The bed is comfortable but the housekeepers do not fit the bedding properly - even the duvet was put in the cover the wrong way so it was all lose.
You are told you can get towels at the swimming pool but this turns out wrong and you have to take your own. The showers in the swimming pool are filthy and haven’t been cleaned in months/years all covered in black mould.
Hardly any dining options locally and the food in the restaurant is mediocre at best.
Staff are disinterested and unhelpful.
Maldron also engage in underhand practices - they will cancel a booking if a special event is on (See Oasis concerts in Manchester where they cancelled bookings and increased room prices 3x) so all in all would probably avoid this hotel chain in the future.

Our Stay
The room was extremely warm and not air conditioning. There was two electric plug in fans that were somewhat noisy during the night. Unable to open the window as high volume of traffic outside and stopped kids from sleeping.
Didn’t not appear to have extraction fan in bathroom and took an eternity to clear after a shower.
Also, tv would not connect to the hotels Wi-Fi and could not use the apps on the TV like Netflix etc.
Room was clean and staff were very nice, friendly and professional. Hotel was very clean and tidy, food was lovely.
