The hotel at South was good. My room was in the back on the second level so I was insulated a lot from the clubs out front. Even with noise canceling headphones, I could still hear the music until 5 AM most nights. The staff was excellent.

The hotel is a very accessible location. You can walk to the arco s de lapa and escadaria selaron. Since it is a prime area, you will hear loud music at night. If you are a deep sleeper, then it is no problem. The room is clean and has the essentials you need.

The place was pretty and immaculate. They only give one key. Needed help getting in every time we left. The key never worked. You need the key to make the electricity work. That means no charging anything while you’re out. No cooling the room for your return. It is a short walk to the famous Stairs. There are no windows in the rooms.

Not for light sleepers or folks with back pain,

The hotel is located in a party area, so there’s lots of noise from neighboring bars, especially on Friday and Saturday until a lesser degree Sunday nights. The mattresses were very thin and uncomfortable. The area felt safe, but it is very isolated from the rest of Rio. The area lacks grocery stores and convenience stores, so it wasn’t helpful having a kitchenette when I had nowhere to buy groceries.The towels were very poor quality . The elevator broke down during my stay, so I had to relocate to a lower floor. They graciously accommodated that request. Unfortunately, when I got to the new room, there was no bidet, no hangers for the clothes, and no safe. I understand that elevators break down, but there’s no logical explanation for them to have inconsistencies in the amenities from one identical room to the next. The staff was great, but it would be nice if they had more English proficiency to accommodate tourism.

Nossa experiência não foi boa, chegamos no hotel havia um vazamento de água, goteira em cima do vaso sanitário, impossibilitando o uso sem se molhar. Como choveu muito no dia, ao usarmos o vaso molhamos a cabeça e a blusa, pior sem saber se a água era suja ou limpa. O pessoal da recepção eram atenciosos mas não conseguiram resolver o problema no momento. Em relação ao local não tinha barulho para dormir, mas a Lapa é bem tumultuada, bem barulhenta, como estávamos em família não conseguimos sair a noite, local muito boêmio.

Falta informação! Falta Profissionalismo! O hotel não tem estacionamento! Não tem manobristas! Não tem como parar em frente com seu carro. Eles não falam isso… o estacionamento conveniado, fica na rua de trás, com acesso exclusivo nos fundos do hotel! Simples… simples se estivesse no escrito isso no anuncio, no site, no hoteis.com, no google… mas não esta! Nao tem isso escrito em lugar nemhum. Vc chega cansado, nao tem onde parar, nao tem como adivinhar essa informacao! No site, nao tem telefone, o telefone dos anúncios, nao atendem.. enquanto isso vc fica rodando na rua.. na lapa! Uma vergonha! Não indico.
