If you are into minimalist, industrial, modern architecture this is your place. My only two complaints are the lack of parking in the vicinity and the fact that the half shower panel means that your bathroom floor gets soaked. Other than those minor quibbles, this is an amazing, quiet, comfortable place to stay in Brooklyn. I’ll be staying here again.

Room was spotless and extremely enjoyed the private Terrace available with my room selection. Staff was extremely courteous from check in, to checking on me during stay and also hand delivered my DoorDash order without prompting. Love the layout and decor. Some original period pieces are retained and matched with new giving it a retro/modern vibe. It is obvious that this team has a vision and is successfully executing against it led by customer service. A restaurant within is on the horizon at some point but, the bar and continental Breakfast offerings ample for now. This is my new go to spot when visiting NYC!

Sela V is a gorgeous hotel with the most incredible staff! Everyone was so kind, helpful and polite. I stayed in the 4 bed bunk room which was nice to have as everyone was able to have their own space in the hotel. The decor is great and really fits the industrial theme. I won’t say cons but room for improvement. Due to the industrial vibe of the hotel (lots of concrete, the WiFi and cell services is spotty. Please try to use an extender or have more routers in the hallways. The staff- the bar and coffee guys are great. But there would only be one to service the entire place and so there were some pretty long waits. I know working through the kinks but maybe 2 bar tenders on the weekend. Anywho! I will go back because I think this will be a great hotel!

I loved everything about my one week stay and I highly recommend this hotel. The industrial decor is beautiful and well put together. The property is clean and staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean and comfortable. I only docked one star because our two full bed room really could have used a coffee machine, microwave, and freezer compartment in the fridge. Other than that, we managed and made it work. I do recommend this hotel. Overall my stay was a 10/10. It was also centrally located to everything we wanted to do as tourist. There was also a laundry mat, corner store, and pizza on the corner which was very helpful. Thank you for our one week stay. Jennifer

Though the room was quite large, it looked as if they forgot to finish and furnish it. The walls and ceiling were of concrete and were totally barren. There was a bed, a very small desk with chair, a mini fridge on the floor. There was no bureau or closet, just a wire structure with 4 hangers and 3 wire shelves. The room and bathroom were very dimly lit - too dim to even apply makeup. The bathroom had no vent so a hot shower steamed up the mirror. The elevators did not work properly so we had to walk to our 4th floor room. We never got maid service in our two night stay despite being out of the room all day. We received daily automated messages stating if there was anything management could do to make our stay more enjoyable we need only ask but I never received a response from my messages back. The location was good for us and the staff at the desk was friendly but we will not stay there again.

Fantastic property in a great area, unfortunately inconvenient to the subway stations. Despite this minor con, the property, the room, the staff, amenities… all comforting, safe, and modern. Much more spacious than your traditional NY hotel. Family friendly. Tea/Coffee on site. Bar on site. Free parking lot (to a capacity) Shout out to Xavier. We will return next stop to Brooklyn.

The property is delightful, staff is super helpful and friendly, and the rooms are pristine. There's a massive lounge area with a coffee bar and regular bar, where you can stretch out, chat, work on a laptop, etc. The only thing we struggled with was access to the subway (a rather long walk or bus ride away), but someone told us near the end of the trip that we should have taken advantage of the ferry at Navy Yard. Next time! Highly recommend this hotel.

Room and hotel overall was extremely clean. I believe this hotel is fairly new so it missed a few small things. A dnd sign was not provided so they cleaned and knocked on our door everyday, they even left cleaning rags in the room one day. One elevator was broken, hallways are pretty loud so you hear everything. There is no restaurant on site unfortunately and the bar is not open late. Coffee bar is good though! It’s a bit far from train stations but there is a bus stop down the street. It’s about a 15 min walk to nearby restaurants. There was some construction happening but only in the late morning/afternoons. I did appreciate their free parking lot. Overall, my stay was good because room was clean and staff was great. However, I did pay a summer deal/rate, so I feel like if you’re paying full rate it misses the mark; they may get there over time once the hotel is fully done.
