I would not stay here again, but it's not because it's a bad place. We took an Uber from the Guadalaraja airport, which is around a 40 minute drive. Unfortunately, Uber doesn't have this place correctly mapped. Which meant the Uber driver had to stop and ask about 6 different people how to get here. Which cost us more money since it took an additional 30 minutes to find the hotel. There is a sign on the left side of the road that says La Riberena, that's the ONLY way you'll find it if you've never been here. Or, in Google Maps, enter "Finca La Riberena". That takes you right to it. It's actually a former residence, and is nestled amongst other residences, right on the lake. It's also very out of the way, and there are very few restaurants within walking distance. When we finally found the hotel at 7pm, we were hungry but there were no Ubers or taxis available. Fortunately, the clerk that checked us in gave us a menu of a place that delivered. The hotel has tables and chairs, but didn't show any sign of offering food. The grounds are well taken care of. The room itself (#9) was upstairs on the corner, so we had a great view of the lake. The room was clean, the bathroom could have been better. Wifi was really good, so we were able to watch Netflix. We took a bus to Chapala, 9 pesos (50 cents). Next time we'll stay in Chapala, just because there is so much more within walking distance.
