I cannot say enough good things about the Fairmont. The room, the location, the staff - after years of staying around the world, this was the best hotel experience I have ever had, hands down!

Oh, dear!

Ice Machine on the floor was broken. A bag of trash with takeout was left outside down the hallway for hours until I picked it up and put it in the ice machine closet.

Fun in the snow.

Service was great. Everyone was very welcoming and spoke fluent English. Rooms were on the small side, esp the bathroom. The river view side had a great view. Valet parking accommodated our Expedition, even though the website had a 6ft limit. Car was retrieved very quickly when needed. The bar had large food portions and amazing drinks inspired by literature. The toboggan ride was fun. We would like to return again in the summer.

Beautiful hotel but needs maintenance

The hotel is beautiful and historic, but the room itself had a lot of issues. Our chrome cast never worked, one of the bedside lamps was broken, and the toilet seat wouldn’t stay up. For that type of hotel and the price, you would expect better. The staff was friendly about it but most of it was never fixed.

Very nice but not as elegant as expected

The location is excellent and everything in the old city is within walking distance, plenty of old buildings and houses from the 1600's, very quaint. Plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. The rooms were spacious enough and very clean, and the bathroom was nicely lit. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Two criticisms would be there was really not a common gathering area with a fireplace, so the lobby lacked a certain elegance, and I thought the rooms were overpriced for what they really delivered, probably because they were marked up substantially for the Christmas holiday.

An iconic place, great stay

Fairmont Chateau Frontenac is one of those iconic places people need to stay at least once in their life time. With an amazing array of activities and amenities and an incredible view of the river and city it is definitely a must if coming to the Christmas market (just steps away). Boost your stay with gold level and you have access to a private lounge where breakfast is included along with afternoon and late night snacks and drinks. Phenomenal service and amazing guest team makes it even better.
