Arrived at 3:45pm. Check time stated 4pm. Approached the front desk and was told my room wasnt ready quite yet and they would call me when it was ready. At 5:07pm i went back to the desk to inquire about the room which was finally ready 1 hour and 7 minutes after their stated check in time of 4pm. Valet employees were fantastic but the ridiculous fees for the service based off the quality of the rooms and service dont justify it

A blight on the Hilton name
Constant smell of marijuana in many parts of the hotel. Non-smoking room stunk of cigarettes. All furniture in room and around hotel was old and worn, mismatched and looking like second-hand pieces from a yard sale. Only one lamp in room making it very hard to see anything at night. Anything made of metal was covered in rust all around the hotel, even the bathroom garbage can. Poor room design made it difficult to get in and out of the bathroom with very little clearance when the door opened. Room safe was non-functional. No fan in the bathroom. Elevators all had non-working floor indicator lights. Broken stairwell door that wouldn’t open or close properly - safety hazard if there was a fire. Reported this to the front desk and it still was not fixed the next day. Ice machine broken. Room curtains were so full of tiny holes that it looked like the starry night sky when the sun came up. We are very loyal to the Hilton brand, but they should be ashamed of this hotel. Way overpriced for the poor level of quality.

Disappointment
The property is very nice over all but not for the price. The issues we had were the charges for everything! First you have to pay to self park and since we have a truck could not park in garage so had to park across the street in an open area and not very secure. Second you have a resort fee which most places do but most don’t charge for self parking with it (no breakfast either, but whatever). The room was over priced to start with, didn’t realize all the extras (my fault). We stayed in a cabana room which you can only access by the back exterior of property with no cover at all. Finding our room in poring cold rain was fun! Last when we got to room it looked so nice and cozy until you lay on bed. Ouch! For a resort style hotel and being a Hilton, I would expect a comfortable bed at the least! We are very chill and easy going people but that bed was such a major disappointment. We both tossed and turned and woke up with back pain. Felt like we stayed at a 1 star hotel that we paid out the back side for. Guess I didn’t read enough fine print or reviews. Was going to mention to staff on departure but they didn’t even ask how our stay was, just handed me my bill with extra charges (all their fees) and said have a good day. My fault and loss. We all work hard for our money and want to feel like we get what we pay for, this was not the case. We did make the best of our trip and still had fun at the Turkey Rod!

I booked a room with two queen beds, but ended up with two doubles which made a tight fit for us The hotel actually looked pretty rundown, and the furniture was old and scratched up. not what I was expecting for a Hilton or for $300 a night. they also nickel and dimed us with parking resort fees and taxes. I will not be staying there again.

Room was OK
This was a last-minute trip for my birthday. The hotel overlooks the Atlantic ocean, which was very beautiful. But the room itself while decent, was okay. The bed, not so great. I felt like I had been hit by a truck after sleeping in that bed. In this hotel was one of those where you had to pay extra to park your car, extra for a resort fee, and you had to pay for breakfast. I don't know if all the hotels are are like that down there in Daytona, with the resort fee but this was one and it just was not great.
