Pleasant stay but room for improvement
Overall enjoyable stay. Good value for money and lovely heated pool and garden. Room was average for motel chain but was clean and furnishings in good condition. Only negatives were the $7 charge for safe use in and poor check in experience. It was very slow, and after 10mins the room key didn’t work on two occasions. We were up graded to a premium room facing the pool which was much quieter (note standard rooms face a noisy road) but key card only worked for one night even though are stay was for two nights.

When we were checking in, they asked if first floor was fine. Yes it was. But a. Dry loud car went by and we asked if it was in a quiet area! He said he’d upgrade our room and gave us one on the inside vs outside, and was to be quiet. I’m afraid he forgot that the 2nd floor must hold cleaning area as water ran early through late at night and people were sliding chairs back and forth on the floor. We did not call to complain as we did not want to move late that evening and left early the next day. Rugged location, old but clean room.

Overall, not good experience.
We stayed there for one night, the electricity shut down all night and we were moved to a another room where the ac was not working and it was super noisy from the cicadas tree next to the room. We were told that they will give us a discount, the manager never responded to my emails regarding the discount. The team member was not managing the hotel appropriately the manager was never on site to address tenants issues.

They treat you like a criminal
It is not a place to travel with your family. The day we arrived, there were some bottles of beer at the lobby's entrance. The place feels generally unsafe for a family. The worst was the day we left. We were at an activity for my children and missed the checkout time, which was our fault. Still, they called us from the hotel as if we were criminals, threatening us, saying that they were going to take all our things and throw them away and that they were going to take our beloved dog to animal control. I apologized to the person, telling him that I was going to book an additional night right away to pay him, and again, with a threatening tone, he told me that I had 10 minutes to do it because he would take everything out on the street. It was a very bad experience, but now I understand why it is one of the cheapest in the area. By the way, the towels were all old, and the hallways to the rooms were dirty. There was even a dirty sock on the floor that lasted our entire stay in one of them.
