Our stay was wonderful. We were lucky that it was warm enough to get into the lake. But even when it got a bit chilly, we enjoyed ourselves in the spa area. And let me tell you this, I've never been in such a charming sauna before. It is partially underwater. When it was windy on the lake, you could see the waves hitting the windows of the sauna in a hypnotic rhythm.
The service is really good and friendly. The food in the restaurant is pricey, but worth it. Breakfast buffet had a good selection of bread and eggs in all forms.
Our room was by the street, yet it remained quiet during our whole stay. Impressive, considering there was a wedding happening that night.

Fantastic location & facility with 2nd floor quirk
Fantastic location for a week-end away for time to relax. The hotel staff, food and spa were fantastic. The rooms could be updated a bit with a quirk on the 2nd floor rooms (city view). No window to open for fresh air - only alternative is to open patio door to public area shared by other guests. Not the most ideal alternative for a hot summer night requiring some outside air.

Gem of a hotel on a beautiful lake.
The Bad Horn (literally Horn Bath) is a spa located on the very large Obersee Bondensee surrounded by Switzerland, Germany and Austria. The hotel is right on the waters edge, with fantastic views over the large lake. The rooms are very clean, in very good condition and large.
There are 3 restaurants in the hotel. Unfortunately, we only stayed for one night (we booked it while driving through the area) and were no able to really appreciate everything the hotel had to offer. However, all staff spoke English well. The courtesy and service we experienced were at 5 star level.
We had dinner at the Giardino restaurant on the pier of the hotel. The Maitre'd was exceptionally helpful, arranging a table to our liking and coming to get us from the upstairs bar when it was ready. The food was delicious and in line with the lakefront - beautiful fresh fish (and also meat dishes).
This was a pleasant hotel and the service levels were excellent. We will have to go back to experience it properly for a longer time.

Relaxing beautiful hotel and spa
We absolutely love this hotel for a romantic quiet get away. They have a gorgeous spa with outlook on to the Lake of Constance from both the pool/ hot tub as well as the sauna. One of the best Spa’s I’ve been to. The food is fantastic and the lake area is peaceful and beautiful. The hotel has a nautical theme and we enjoy the “ship feel” to it. This was our second stay and we’ll definitely come back.

European Spa Hotel
Would highly recommend this hotel for a true European spa experience. The staff is wonderful and the amenities that come with the price of your room is outstanding. The Spa is co-ed and in true European style you will see nudity of other Spa goers but if it bothers you, just keep a towel around you. If you are overly jet-lagged (11 hours for me) this will help. 2 of the Saunas have port holes that look out over the lake. We were told when the Lake gets high it covers the port holes and you can see fish swimming by. Unfortunately that did not happen while we were there.

Classy hotel on the Bodensee
This was a very nice hotel with beautiful views of Lake Constance from the lounges and the restaurants. Very nice and large selection breakfast (included) each morning while sitting outside enjoying the lake view. The two restaurants were pricey and with not much available in town, it would have been nice to have a less expensive, more casual option to choose from for dinner. That being said, the food was wonderful and served expertly.
Our stay was over a weekend and we were disappointed to find both lounge/bars closed for private events on Saturday night when we tried to get a cocktail before dinner. There was also a wedding reception going on until about 2 am that could be heard in our room. That was a bit unexpected and disappointing.
Other than that, the staff was attentive and friendly, we enjoyed the apples available in the lobby for a snack each day, as well as the free and easily accessible parking. We didn't take advantage of the spa amenities but received a tour upon check-in and it all looked wonderful.
