"Great staff which prevented me from giving one star. No wifi input rooms, no television channels except for one, swimming pool was out of order and lost goes on. Problem is not withthe staff - it is the owners of the hotel. Avoid LSR group hotels! There are better places to spend your money "

"We booked this hotel for one night with breakfast included. The hotel overlooks Sigiriya Rock and is in a very nice location. Breakfast started at 7am and after eating we left for Sigiriya Rock at 8am. As it was a weekday, we were able to get to the top while it was still relatively empty. By the time we got off the summit, there were quite a few more people, so we were glad we left early. If you can afford it, you might be able to climb before breakfast. "Wow. Luxurious property with the friendliest staff. The food was everything was picked from their farm. So fresh, generous portions, and organic! Our stay was simply amazing. We stayed in both the Floating Villa, and then the Bankee Chalet. Highly reccomend. Everyone in that visits Sri Lanka should come here."

"This hotel is a 3 star at best. Service was slow and the rooms tired and shabby. I found frogs in and around the toilet bowl as well as cockroaches and HUGE bugs in the bathroom. On the positive side I suppose the pool was nice and the open air restaurant had a safari kind of charm if you like dinning in the heat with the flies. Sorry but for me as a five star hotel this is a big fail!"

"From the moment we walked up, we felt so welcome and comfortable. The manager was incredible at arranging all of our experiences from local temples to the elephant safari and an amazing massage. Food and beverage service is personal and accommodating. We loved the plunge pool at our room, especially after the amazing climb to see Sigiriya Rock! Incredible staff, tranquil property- loved every minute- the peacock even put on a show when we left! "

"Cinnamon Lodge is a huge establishment, very grand with rooms set in lovely gardens by the lake. It has a huge pool and a buffet breakfast and dinner menu. The evening desserts are to die for."

"Sad case of lovely hotel falling into decay after Covid. We four were only guests for our two day stay. Staff could not do enough but could not find booking, pool very neglected and rooms although enormous could do with a large amount of tender loving care. One I hope succeeds in the future."

"Nice hotel. Super helpful staff. Our toddler enjoyed exploring the grounds. Restaurant served nice food. Rooms are a bit basic relative to the price. We were unfortunately visiting during Christmas, and the hotel organised a very loud party, which made it hard to sleep! Agreed to lower the volume after many requests "
