"This is a great place to stay while visiting Zanzibar. The rooms are quite nice and it's great to have a little private lounging area for yourself. The shared areas are also nice, and there are games and kayaks/ SUP to use free of charge. Only downside is that the ocean has quite a bit of seaweed right in front of the resort. But there is also a pool which is nice to lounge around as well"

"This was our first experience staying on Pongwe beach. The beach isn't comparable to what one gets at Nungwi or similar. It is quite rocky and the tide stays receeded most of the day. The resort was sparsely occupied and therefore very quiet and peaceful apart from Wednesday night when there was loud music until past 3AM at an adjacent property.

"From the free return transfers, to the welcome on arrival, to the staff, the food, everything was amazing! All inclusive includes a la carte menu for all meals of the day (not buffet). The staff are the best thing about this place. They were very welcoming and friendly.
The free 60 minute massage was amazing.
There is entertainment at every dinner. We saw some really good performances with all guests and staff getting involved in singing and dancing.
I dont have anything negative to say...

services was excellent the food was Good, Room was ok amd so generally all the services were up to the expectations execpt for the fact that they don't have mobile money payment method which is very convenient especially on holidays and weekends..what if the one looses his or her Atm card but has money on their mobile app.
They need to have a mobile money payment method for convenience.

We spent the last two days at the Maru Maru Hotel, which was a very good decision.

We stayed in the honeymoon-suite on the 3rd floor, which had all bathroom facilities on a top-side terrace with sun chairs and a lovely views.
Food in the restaurant was okay, but the breakfast was lovely. We both had a lovely massage, maybe a bit pricey for here, but cheap compared to Europe.
