"Excellent experience staying at The Covenanter for one night. We booked a deluxe room and stayed in the 'Queens Room' that is at the front of the hotel opposite Falkland Palace. Along with the 'Cameron Room' it's accessed via a separate entrance at the front of the hotel. This is a very old building so the plumbing etc is quite noisy and we could hear the music below us (albeit not that loud) from the bar. Slight issues were TV stuck on one channel and holder for shower head broken. To be fair, we didn't mention these till check out, as weren't big issues for us. Neither of these things would stop us staying here again.
It was an unexpected treat to find such a nice place to stay as we were passing through the area!
